Good morning boys and girls.

The following eBay listing had no row number. It also does not accept paypal. So I emailed him. Here's the response:

Hi , Thank you for being interested in purchasing my tickets .If you are really interested i`m willing to give you the Buy it now price ( $700 for all) .The tickets are located in SEC : 19 ,ROW 1.I want to take this opportunity to assure you that this deal is 100% legitimate.I am an architect and I was requested to work on a big project,i`m out of the US and i can`t go at this amazing game. I need this deal to be managed in a secure way, by eBay and I think you want that too. For that I will need your full info (sHIPPING ADDRESS & eBay ID) so I can contact them and inform them about our possible deal. After you'll send me your info they'll let you know more details about how is this deal going to work. I'm sure that we can close the deal as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and interest!!!

<end>

This is almost certainly our friend the UK hijacker, although it could be another hijacker as his MO appears to be slightly different. Do not bid on this auction.

Thanks. :-)

Here's a hijacked account / scam listing:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200174014610&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D200174014610%26fvi%3D1

...and here's a seller trying to convince a buyer that his OV seats are not OV seats when, in fact, they ARE OV seats. Also, the photo is not his, it's a ten year old stock photo from some ticket site and it's not even close to his seats. In the description, the seller is lying outright. I know this because I have these same seats in Section 226, row 16. There is a pillar four rows in front and two-three seats to the right that blocks at least a third of the field --guaranteed.

This guy's listing has information which is just plain wrong. He says:

"Please be aware that all 200 Level seats Rows 15 and higher at Fedex Field, including these, are marked 'Obstructed View'. The seats are under an overhang which makes it difficult to track the ball on punts & kickoffs. Otherwise, the view of the entire field is perfectly clear."

Not true. The truth is, only some of the seats in rows 14 and higher are marked "Obstructed View Bleachers." Others are marked "Limited View", and they are better seats. Still others are marked "Terrace Seating" and they are even better than that. If you buy these seats in the below listing, you are going to find the view of the field blocked, plain and simple.

Another scam going on is that my girl got taken on a "signed" sean taylor poster. when in reality it looks like the a 5 yr old signed it. Shocker now the seller is being a prick.

Fake jerseys run rampant on EBay.

It's one of the hardest things to protect yourself against.

Another example of why you need to read the fine print. These two tickets are for seats that aren't even in the same friggin' row. And I betcha these are OV.

eBay is crawling with rats. I'm not a collector nor do I invest in any type of memorabilia but after Sean Taylor passed I wanted to have something to hold onto forever so I decided to buy a signed football. I found one on ebay and bought it for $200. The next day I get an email from someone that works for the seller saying that he has reason to believe that the football isn't authentic. I sent an email to the seller threatening to file complaints with paypal and ebay if he didn't refund my money. Luckily he refunded it but I'll think twice before I ever buy anything of any value on ebay.

A guy got me like this. I bought tickets for section 213. He said there was a perfect view on the field, it was not obstructed in anyway. This was a huge lie. I had to bend down, and look between peoples head most of the time. The overhang was in my way, and my frien could only see half the feild. Please check out your seats before you actually buy tickets

You have to know going in that you're buying a fake jersey. I knew what I was buying when I bought my Landry knockoff, and I have no problem with it. There's a reason why they're so cheap.

I got scammed last week by an ebay buyer when I sold my Skins/Bears tickets. The guy paid me via paypal twice. He sent me an email telling me that, then the next day, I got a "fake" email from paypal saying to click this link to refund the money. Forwarded it to paypal, who confirmed that it was a fake.

It's been over a week now, and the guy hasn't lodged one complaint about overpaying me. He must be mad that I didn't fall for his scam......

how can you tell it was hijacked?

If the seller doesn't accept paypal, that's the first clue to be wary. If you had won the auction, the seller would most likely email you and explain he's in the UK on business and to wire him a western union payment.

Anyways, somebody asked a question in the listing. The question was forwarded to the real seller's email account, and the real seller answered that the listing is hijacked. This is what happens when the password you choose is ABCD1234 or something dumb like that.
