Seller is selling OV seats and he says the obstruction is minimal. This guy is full of ****. The pillars are eight rows directly in front of his seats. These seats absolutely suck.

This guy is selling 50 yard line seats, but the seats are closer to the 40. There's no seats near the 50. There's a little shelter roughly 15 yards wide at the 50 yard line in the upper rows on the home side.

He always starts his auctions at a dollar except once nine dollars. He always has an aol email address in the listing. He always wants $500 except once $499. He's always selling tix on the 50. He always uses the same fonts and likes to use different colors. He always has a zillion other scam listings up at the same time.

Mark- I'm not a regular here but I just noticed this thread and wanted to say THANKS for the valuable service you have provided to our fellow Skins fans.

I was looking for season tix last spring and reported that UK clown about 10 times myself. Honestly, I got tired of looking for him and stopped but did send one final email to Ebay and tell them he/she is a habitual scammer. Looks like it did not do much good. :-( I'm sure it is hard for them to track one jerk out or millions of listings.

Also, as someone who does list on Ebay, I appreciate you educating folks on what to look for. (I actually never noticed/realized I even had that Paypal $1000 guarantee!) I like to think it helps out guys like me.

The only thing I don't do sometimes is list the actual seat numbers and/or row for fear of reprisal from the Redskins. My seats are on the aisle so I do say "Aisle seats" and usually give a "range" for row number also.

Ex: "Between row 5 and 10"

Hi, thanks for your comment! Yeah, I hate thieves and cheats.

The Redskins apparently don't enforce that rule regarding selling pairs of tickets anymore. If you read the back of any 2006 game ticket, the Redskins removed the sentence that said "Ticket holder may not sell a game ticket above face value" or words to that effect. It's not there any more. They are more concerned about fans selling blocks of tickets, but a pair of tickets they're not so concerned about. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Thanks again

Watch out for this guy. He has purchased a number of OV season seat contracts solely for the purpose of reselling for roughly a $1,000 profit per season ticket contract. You don't know what you're buying. These are not Limited View, they are Obstructed View. He wants you to pay him up to two-and-a-half times face value. The fact is, you can probably call the Redskins today at 301 276-6050 and buy similar seats directly from the team for less than half of what this guy wants.

I am going to really try hard to calm down about all the bs ebay listings this year. After all, most of you know what's up by now. But sometimes I just can't take the blatant lies and arrogant attempts at fraud -- and this is one of those times. This guy says his seats in 429 are between the 40 and the 45, and he shows a picture to prove it. However, the truth is, his seats, which are almost certainly in one of the top rows, has to be somewhere between the 15 and 35 yard lines. The pic this guy uses is from section 428, down low. He is purposely misleading the buyer to add value to his seats. What a scumbag.

Mark,

I for one hope you remain as vigilant as last year, the better educated everyone is concering the stadium seating the better off we all are.

Here is an early auction for season tickets where the owner makes no mention of the very VERY limited/obstructed view you will have from his seats.

http://cgi.ebay.com/3-Redskins-07-08-Season-Tickets-Section-223-w-park-pass_W0QQitemZ150104337053QQcategoryZ16122QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem:(

When you are considering buying season tickets that will cost you a significant amount of money please do the reasearch, these sellers are not very forthcoming with information.

Seller had to relist the listing and he added row info. He finally found a buyer. I think the buyer will be surprised when he finds himself at the 25 yard line. At least he didn't pay more than face.

It says on the first page that there are 24 seats in a row for the sideline sections. My poor friend bought 6 tickets in 214 row 22 seats 29-34. He wants to sell two of them. Do you know by chance if seats 33 and 34 are at the end of the row?
214 is a corner section, so there are more seats in the back rows. Seat 34 is probably on the aisle.

Well let me ask one thing. I'm trying to buy some tickets from stubhub. Is that a reliable and safe place to purchase them from???

Prices are higher on stubhub, but you're also guaranteed tickets unlike on Ebay (or you're money back, if the seller screws up). It's all about tradeoffs: cheaper tickets on Ebay but with risk, more expensive tickets on stubhub with no risk.

Yes, prices are really high on stub hub. If I purchase from them, I like to wait until the week before the game when ticket prices start falling. Once last year I bought two tix on stub hub in 222, row 4 for just a tad above face including the 15% markup. Super sweet seats, but I bought them on like Wednesday before the game. So I'm following tracking and the tracking just stops after the driver picked up the package from a Kinkos in northern VA. They investigated and concluded they lost the package. So stubhub replaced those tix with two in 101, row 25. Equally nice, as long as it didn't rain, which it didn't. I had to pick up the tix at the game on Sunday because of time contraints. It's nice that they have a window at FedExField to get late orders. The Stubhub window is between gates D and E.

You can save a small fortune and get spectacular seats by buying the week before the game.

EDIT: I was apparently mistaken. The buyer's fee is 10% on stubhub.
