TSG: Sicko "Marriage Contract" One For The Ages

Contract of Wifely Expectations

FEBRUARY 17--This country, as you know, is filled with the deranged. And then there's Travis Frey, a 33-year-old Iowa man who is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife (not to mention a separate child pornography rap). Frey, prosecutors contend, apparently is a rather demanding guy. In fact, he actually drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document--a "Contract of Wifely Expectations"--that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. In return for fulfilling certain requirements, Frey (pictured right) offered "Good Behavior Days," or GBDs. Each GBD, Frey wrote, could be redeemed by his wife to "get out of doing the things" he requested daily. A copy of the proposed contract, which Frey's wife never signed and later provided to cops, can be found below. While we normally point out the highlights of most documents, there are so many in this demented, and very graphic, contract, we really can't do it justice. So set aside ten minutes--and prepare to be repulsed. (4 pages) Click on the link above to read the "Contract"

Wow. Just wow.

Clearly this guy has some form of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

At what point do you stop judging?

How crazy does one need to be before people change from judgemental "he is an a-hole" to compassionate "he needs help?"

One thing is clear... that ******* needs help :)

This goes beyond obsessive compulsive. Not to mention...he's up for child porn too, so he needs to be put away for a LONG time.

"beyond" is not a good word because it implies "on the same scale," in a sense. I did not offer OCD as an all-encompassing explanation. Indeed he sounds like an individual troubled in more ways than one.

It seemed that diligency of the contract and attention to detail suggested a strong OCD component.. :2cents:

What's wrong with someone knowing what they want and getting a notarized contract to ensure that??

OK, in all seriousness, this guy's childhood must have been downright scary!

Yeah, he probably grew up surrounded by uncertainty... It is so important for parents to treat their kids consistently...

His parents were probably into substance abuse, so he would never know what he'd be dealing with at any given point. That's probably one of the reasons behind his desire to nail everything down and spell everything out...

It is not called "S&M". For those of you who do not know what S/M is... It is a reference to those who are Sadistic and/or Masochistic.

I believe what you were trying to refer this to is D/s (Dominance/submission). This is a lifestyle that can entail a per session experience or a Master/slave relationship. In fact, it isn't even THAT black and white. Anyway, those who are involved in a legitimate D/s lifestyle practice "SSC" (Safe, Sane, and Consensual)... Or some practice "RACK" (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink).

From what I understand, this woman did not sign the contract (or 'rules' by his definition)... Then, this was not at all consensual... Therefore, this was not a legitimate D/s contract. Also, by her filing kidnapping charges on her husband, I would say that this wasn't even a legitimate D/s relationship (speculation/assumption here).

I am not promoting D/s or S/m... However, I am trying to clarify a previous statement.
