Ten Signs You Might be a Redskins Fan

ChicagoRedskinsFan

Recommended Posts

1. Your team repeatedly breaks your heart by losing close games

2. You spend restless nights having nightmares about botched plays that resulted in aforementioned close losses

3. You experience racing heart, sweaty palms, and stomach discomfort during games (symptoms intensify in 4th quarter)

4. Despite vowing never to have anything to do with the team for the rest of your life, you soon find yourself seeking comfort from message boards and favorite columnists

5. Fully aware of all the games your team "should have won" but didn't, you calculate how they can still win 10 games and make the playoffs

6. Your team never wins 10 games or makes the playoffs

7. Free agents and coaches come and go, but the results look the same

8. For two decades marquis quarterbacks come and go, none of them wearing your team's uniform

9. Your team loses to the same opponent 14 out of 15 games over the better part of a decade. That opponent is your most hated rival and is one of the worst teams in football over that period.

10. Your QB rams his head into wall, injuring himself, and your star WR draws a drive-killing penalty by slamming his helmet to the ground. Your team finishes with a tie instead of a win and misses the playoffs (again)

If you are experiencing many of these symptoms, there's a high probability you are suffering from being a Redskins fan. Unfortunately this disease is incurable. Due to circumstances beyond your control in your formative years, your brain was forever altered in this way. Although there are 1000 things more important in life, as the rational side of your brain tells you, the Redskins-controlled part of your brain will prevent you from experiencing true happiness until your team returns to Super Bowl glory. It sucks to be you.
