  1. Yes. I can't recall seeing any Flying Squirrels swag at any of the local stores. @TradeTheBeal! might know of a store in Carytown that carries their stuff. I've only bought it online.
  2. "Could be devastating": Indicted ex-GOP chair "explicitly" throws Trump under the bus in new filing David Shafer, a former chairman of Georgia's Republican Party and one of the 19 people charged in the Georgia 2020 election interference case, claimed in a Monday court filing that he and the other Republican electors who attempted to falsely certify a victory for Donald Trump were acting at the direction of the former president. As defendants in the far-reaching indictment begin to surrender to authorities ahead of the Friday deadline, "Shafer's position signals that some may be poised to turn on the former president," Axios reports. "Mr. Shafer and the other Republican Electors in the 2020 election acted at the direction of the incumbent President and other federal officials," lawyers for the former GOP chairman wrote in the filing. "Attorneys for the President and Mr. Shafer specifically instructed Mr. Shafer, verbally and in writing, that the Republican electors' meeting and casting their ballots on December 14, 2020 was consistent with counsels' advice and was necessary to preserve the presidential election contest," they added. https://news.yahoo.com/could-devastating-indicted-ex-gop-152232176.html
  3. TFG probably taking $.90 of every $1.00
  4. Yeah, that's a nice oven. I opted for this one - delivered on Sunday - Pizzello 16". I didn't want to spend too much - similar Ooni 16" is $800. This was $284 w/ peel & cover. This thing got to to 700 degrees (on the pizza stone) in ~15 minutes (propane - also has an option to use charcoal/pellets). Hot AF lol. I've never cooked on anything this hot. Yeah, burnt the **** out of both pizzas I cooked but I learned a lot. CPK Thai pizza - used leftover pork BBQ (no sauce) instead of chicken w/ peanut butter, hoisin, oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar & sriracha. When they say to turn the pizza after 30-40 seconds make sure you're not distracted by your spouse telling you to look at the hummingbirds at the other corner of the patio. Oddly shaped as I was having issues getting the pizza to slide off the peel. Looking forward to round 2... Here's a good site for all things pizza. The Gozney gets great reviews... https://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php
  5. Well, several peeps failed this. Back in the day (maybe @Koolblue13 can verify) Philly had garbage pails and trash cans. Garbage pails were in the ground buckets where you dumped 'garbage' (food waste) i.e., not trash. It had a foot pedal on it to open it. The "Garbage Man" would come by once or twice a week to collect the 'garbage'. It smelled like death especially in the summer months. My grandparents lived near the "K&A" intersection in Philly (row houses a block off "The Avenue"). Garbage pails were a main part of city life back then...
  6. Sitting on the patio with my wife this evening watching the hummingbirds at the feeder. I think they're gearing up for their long trip south (I think they fly to Mexico for the winter). The fights as they vie to perch on the hook holding the feeder (and plant) was entertaining....until 2 of them flew within 8 inches of my face chasing each other. I felt like Goose watching the MIGs fly past him in Top Gun. Those birds are fast AF!!!
  7. Proud Boy on house arrest in Jan. 6 case disappears ahead of sentencing WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities are searching for a member of the Proud Boys extremist group who disappeared days before his sentencing in a U.S. Capitol riot case, where prosecutors are seeking more than a decade in prison, according to a warrant made public Friday. Christopher Worrell of Naples, Florida, was supposed to be sentenced Friday after being found guilty of spraying pepper spray gel on police officers, as part of the mob storming the Capitol as Congress was certifying Joe Biden’s presidential victory on Jan. 6, 2021. Prosecutors had asked a judge to sentence him to 14 years. The sentencing was canceled and a warrant for his arrest issued under seal on Tuesday, according to court records. The U.S. attorney’s office for Washington D.C. encouraged the public to share any information about his whereabouts. https://apnews.com/article/jan-6-capitol-attack-proud-boy-1341d4596fb96ee2828b54d70ef7e126

  9. Since it's the 54th anniversary of Woodstock (August 15-18, 1969) I was reminded of a something I saw on I95 on our 1969 trip back to DC from Philly - hitchhikers. Yeah, hippie hitchhikers on I95 northbound trying to make it to Woodstock. I used to hitchhike all the time as a teenager (no car, no money but needed to go hangout somewhere). And buying these in the '70s to keep people from siphoning your gas...
