  1. TFG probably taking $.90 of every $1.00
  2. Yeah, that's a nice oven. I opted for this one - delivered on Sunday - Pizzello 16". I didn't want to spend too much - similar Ooni 16" is $800. This was $284 w/ peel & cover. This thing got to to 700 degrees (on the pizza stone) in ~15 minutes (propane - also has an option to use charcoal/pellets). Hot AF lol. I've never cooked on anything this hot. Yeah, burnt the **** out of both pizzas I cooked but I learned a lot. CPK Thai pizza - used leftover pork BBQ (no sauce) instead of chicken w/ peanut butter, hoisin, oyster sauce, soy sauce, honey, vinegar & sriracha. When they say to turn the pizza after 30-40 seconds make sure you're not distracted by your spouse telling you to look at the hummingbirds at the other corner of the patio. Oddly shaped as I was having issues getting the pizza to slide off the peel. Looking forward to round 2... Here's a good site for all things pizza. The Gozney gets great reviews... https://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php
  3. Well, several peeps failed this. Back in the day (maybe @Koolblue13 can verify) Philly had garbage pails and trash cans. Garbage pails were in the ground buckets where you dumped 'garbage' (food waste) i.e., not trash. It had a foot pedal on it to open it. The "Garbage Man" would come by once or twice a week to collect the 'garbage'. It smelled like death especially in the summer months. My grandparents lived near the "K&A" intersection in Philly (row houses a block off "The Avenue"). Garbage pails were a main part of city life back then...
  4. Sitting on the patio with my wife this evening watching the hummingbirds at the feeder. I think they're gearing up for their long trip south (I think they fly to Mexico for the winter). The fights as they vie to perch on the hook holding the feeder (and plant) was entertaining....until 2 of them flew within 8 inches of my face chasing each other. I felt like Goose watching the MIGs fly past him in Top Gun. Those birds are fast AF!!!
  5. Proud Boy on house arrest in Jan. 6 case disappears ahead of sentencing WASHINGTON (AP) — Authorities are searching for a member of the Proud Boys extremist group who disappeared days before his sentencing in a U.S. Capitol riot case, where prosecutors are seeking more than a decade in prison, according to a warrant made public Friday. Christopher Worrell of Naples, Florida, was supposed to be sentenced Friday after being found guilty of spraying pepper spray gel on police officers, as part of the mob storming the Capitol as Congress was certifying Joe Biden’s presidential victory on Jan. 6, 2021. Prosecutors had asked a judge to sentence him to 14 years. The sentencing was canceled and a warrant for his arrest issued under seal on Tuesday, according to court records. The U.S. attorney’s office for Washington D.C. encouraged the public to share any information about his whereabouts. https://apnews.com/article/jan-6-capitol-attack-proud-boy-1341d4596fb96ee2828b54d70ef7e126
  6. I see your pop top and raise your the push button top
  7. Since it's the 54th anniversary of Woodstock (August 15-18, 1969) I was reminded of a something I saw on I95 on our 1969 trip back to DC from Philly - hitchhikers. Yeah, hippie hitchhikers on I95 northbound trying to make it to Woodstock. I used to hitchhike all the time as a teenager (no car, no money but needed to go hangout somewhere). And buying these in the '70s to keep people from siphoning your gas...
  8. Made pork souvlaki last night (roasted pepper). Had it on pita w/ tzatziki sauce, romaine, tomatoes, black olives.
  9. Giuliani struggling under massive legal bills after defending Trump Rudy Giuliani is staring down hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills and sanctions amid numerous lawsuits in addition to the new criminal charges – related to his work for Donald Trump after the 2020 election. In court on Monday, the former New York City mayor said the legal quagmires have left him effectively out of cash. He even appears to have responded to some of the money crunch by listing for sale a 3-bedroom Manhattan apartment he owns for $6.5 million. Not including standard legal fees, Giuliani faces nearly $90,000 in sanctions from a judge in a defamation case, a $20,000 monthly fee to a company to host his electronic records, $15,000 or more for a search of his records, and even a $57,000 judgment against his company for unpaid phone bills. While he has declined in court to provide details of his financial state, his lawyers wrote this week that “producing a detailed financial report is only meant to embarrass Mr. Giuliani and draw attention to his misfortunes.” Giuliani’s financial situation is likely to become even more difficult to navigate in the coming days. He faces potentially perilous court decisions against him in two 2020 election defamation lawsuits as early as this week. While Giuliani’s attorneys’ fees have not been paid directly by Trump’s political action committee, Trump’s PAC paid more than $300,000 in May to a company handling Giuliani’s archived records for evidence preservation in court cases, according to federal campaign finance records and court filings. “He is having financial difficulties,” Giuliani’s lawyers said in a filing this month in a civil defamation case brought by two Georgia election workers against him. “Giuliani needs more time to pay the attorneys’ fees and would like the opportunity to seek an extension from the Court.” https://news.yahoo.com/giuliani-struggling-under-massive-legal-000003837.html
