  1. Maybe the next time we get a quarterback, whether its via trade, draft, or free agency, and there are actual legit struggles and areas of concern in training camp and the preseason...we should maybe take those more seriously. Because it happened with Smith. It happened with Haskins. It happened with Fitzpatrick. And it happened with Wentz.
  2. "Well for the most part it's about going through your progression. And that's on him and those are decisions that he gets to make. You know we practice those things, he works through those things, he understands those concepts." Very vague.
  3. This team was diagnosed with a terminal illness in 1999, and has slowly been dying ever since. This terrible rebrand should be the death knell for several fans. The problem is that it's just too hard to pick a different team to root for when you've invested so much time and energy into this one.
  4. Wentz has had 3 good seasons over the course of his career. Frank Reich (or his system) was involved in all 3. This season is looking like the 2020 season all over again. He's not comfortable in this system. Yes, the offensive line has been bad, but how much of that falls on Wentz? This was the same old song and dance with the Eagles in 2020. But nothing is going to happen. He's going to play the entire year, barring injury. He shouldn't, but he will. I'm just glad they 'finally found a quarterback'.
  5. For some reason, the media have an disdain for Wentz that is unlike anything I've ever seen. I just saw a clip from some dumb ESPN show where they are debating the best quarterback in the NFC East and Max Kellerman brings up Wentz, and then says something like "I'm kidding but he won't be a starting quarterback for long". Meanwhile, Justin Fields is playing the absolute worst I have ever seen a quarterback play in a long time and he's rarely mentioned by the media, and if he is, it's excuse after excuse for his poor play. It's baffling to me. Wentz isn't a bad guy. He isn't even a poor teammate. And it can't be solely because he plays for Washington. Alex Smith wasn't treated like this. Neither was Case Keenum. Hell, Heinicke was treated as feel good story when he started.
  6. If he plays like he did against the Eagles in the next two weeks you absolutely activate Sam Howell and consider it.
  7. There was the possibility that he could have been good enough for the next 3 years or so.
  8. https://www.audacy.com/thefandc/sports/washington-commanders/jason-wright-other-nfl-teams-calling-commanders-for-advice I'm sure they are lining up to ask them for the advice on how to make their club level seats look just as ****ty as they are here.
  9. Those guys who still dress like hog farmers and wear face paint and go to all of the games fascinate me. Like how could any human being be that into this franchise after what Snyder has done to it? We have had one playoff win in 20 years. Gibbs and the seeming resurgence of the team in 2005, Todd Collins coming in for injured Jason Campbell in 2007 and taking us to the playoffs, RG3's rookie year, and Kirk in 2015-2017 were, IMO, the only highlight years of this team in the last 20 years. A portion of this fanbase thinks they are still relevant from the dynasty days of the 80s and early 90s. Not anymore.
  10. Seeing all of that green in the stadium didn't piss me off like it used to. The loss didn't bother me all that much. It's been this way for the last 20+ years, and there's been one constant.
  11. This defense has looked like the 1985 Bears when playing backup quarterbacks. This could be a bounce back game for the offense. It's still going to be dangerously close either way.
  12. I don't think a loss to the Cowboys is going to cause the team to implode. A loss to the Titans might make that happen though.
  13. I'm sorry that I "rampaged" by posting about the quarterback of my favorite team after a terrible loss largely thanks to said quarterbacks play.
  14. Realistically, they can beat the Cowboys once, Bears, Colts, Texans, Falcons, and maybe the Giants once. 7-10 record. Exactly what they were last year.
  15. This is a big reason as to why Rivera should not function as both a head coach and general manager. He's been consistently mediocre at one job and pretty terrible at the other.
  16. https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/09/04/carson-wentz-commanders-jaguars/ He was anointed by the coaching staff. "rampage" lmao get a grip. He played like garbage. He'll have good games. He's going to also have more garbage games.
  17. What are you talking about? I said Wentz isn't the guy and the fans are going to realize that quicker than the fans in Indy. It has nothing to do with going to Heinicke. He can be inactive, cut, traded, for all I care.
  18. The football people have continuously built a meh roster for the last 3 seasons. You can continue to support and never question them if you want.
