    Keep Forbes. He fits in with what we are trying to build here. When they pass that new rule where you can have as many players on the field as you want as long as their total weight does not exceed 2500 pounds, we are going to destroy EVERYBODY!!!.

    Today, one of my Spanish-speaking students tucked his arms inside of his shirt so only his hands were popping out of the sleeves and then laid on his back on the floor and voluntarily convulsed for 30 seconds. So I walked up to him and said, “Te ves como una tortuga que está muriendo” That made me feel really good because a year ago, if I would’ve told you that I was learning Spanish and you would’ve asked, “how do you say, ‘you look like a dying tortoise?’”, I would’ve said I’m not that good yet.

    I loved the Ben Sinnott phone call. He was so excited and his two girlfriends both genuinely looked happy for him.

    He’s not warm and fuzzy. His dad was a much bigger ass though. I actually played against a team coached by the elder Saban back in 2002. He was like 100 at that point. Our coach told us that if there was ever going to be a game where we got into an all out brawl, make it that one because he was pretty sure he could whip old Lou. But if Nick said that about Sainristil, that holds a lot of weight. Dude knows what he’s looking at and what he’s talking about.

    He said that? I hated Saban as an analyst during the draft. He’s too smart. I like to think that I know at least a little something about football, but he made it pretty clear that I don’t actually know ****. I’m a high school dropout and he has a PhD… Also might explain why all that **** I was talking in the quarterback thread didn’t come true.

    Six wins. The roster does not look like a good football team to me. I’m just hoping we show improvement throughout the season. If we win seven or more I will feel really good about the future and be thinking about playoffs in 25-26.

    Davis is fine. Ron overdrafted him but can’t worry about that now. He’s good to hold down a starting LB spot for this year.

    NE had at least one season where they would pretty regularly use both a 4-3 and 3-4.

    I like McCaffrey. I think he’ll eventually become a solid contributor on offense in the slot and he also has value on teams & as a do-it-all / gadget player. Kid also had over 150 rushing attempts and almost 1000 yards (6 yds / att) in college.

    I predict that we get more value from this year’s 2nd round than from every 2nd round pick of the Snyder era combined.

    Peters said they don’t grade players by round. They grade them by the role they believe they will fill. Here’s an interesting exercise for you guys that did work on these kids. What role do you see each of them filling for us?
