The Random Thought Thread Vol 2---Read OP For Thread Rules
Fan since a Fetus replied to Jumbo's topic in The Tailgate
My wife and I take a class a month at Sur La Table. Haven’t taken a bad class yet. Just did a delicious French cuisine that included the best chicken breast I ever had and a delicious pear with sauce for dessert. In March we are doing Korean BBQ. Can’t wait. Plus with these classes I get double the meat because my wife is a vegetarian, so that’s a win win for me. We do it with 4 other friends. Two of them don’t eat desserts because of sugar. So we always get double the desserts. -
It’s awesome and gets better and better. Even the final season is awesome. It ends on a perfect note. Can’t say that about very many tv shows at all. But once you’re done with that, start on Better Call Saul. You’ll probably be interested after Breaking Bad. I just finished season four of Saul and I think it’s just as good as Breaking Bad, but some people say it’s better, of course, some say it’s worse

This is according to https://www.iiss.org/blogs/military-balance/2020/02/global-defence-spending. This was posted on 2/14. India has a little more than 4x our population. If they put in the money that we do, they'd be scary. What I've been reading is that China has been closing the gap between their spending and ours. It's been going on for several years now. Defensive spending throughout the world is supposed to increase by 3-4% this year

1. China - 2,035,000 2. india - 1,444,500 3. United States of America’s - 1,359,450 4. North Korea - 1,280,000 5. Russia - 900,000 i looked at several sites and they all have these same rankings, although some numbers may be slightly off, but I think that’s due to the different dates that the data was collected

Just finished lost in space 2. It's a fun show, but I swear the Robinsons create most of their own problems and have to put out Most of their own fires. So much so that my wife and I laughed throughout the season About how dumb they were Also watched the First two seasons of Fleabag that Obama recommended. It's great but within the first ten minutes of the first episode c, you can see why Obama like it

I saw Knives Out last weekend. It was ok. For some reason, I went in expecting it to be more humorous. It wasn’t very funny and That must have clouded my judgement. -

I saw Ford v Ferrari. I think it is a great movie and one of the must see films of the year with the Joker. I laughed through the whole thing which I didn't expect. I think Christian Bale stole the show. His acting was superb. It was nice to see Jon Bernthal or however you say his name play something other than a murdering meathead. Although he plays the tough meathead quite well. Next up is 1917, but I'll probably wait a couple weeks on that. Looking forward to the new Jumangi as well. The reboot was fun. -

Put me in the aquaman sucks category. What a crap movie. I didn't know that was Nicole Kidman at first. Her plastic surgery looks awful. My wife had to tell me who she was. -

I'm playing Ni No Kuni at the moment. It is really making me want to go on a mass magic rampage. I ran outside with a wand and started yelling incantations. But everyone just starred at me and shook their heads Good thing I wasn't playing a shooter. -

O.K., I wasn't curious about her feet. Now I am. Going to search now. I'm hoping those monsters don't sway my opinion of her. I can't stand ugly feet. Edit: Just checked, they pass the look test, but do they pass the smell test? My goal is now to get close enough to her feet to smell them. This may be more difficult than it seems. -

Haha, it's definitely a slower movie. Sorry you wasted your time Also, if that's the commuter with Liam Neeson, I liked that as well. I think it's one of his better action movies -

Watched The Old Man & the Gun on HBO Now. It was great, of course, I really like Robert Redford. It's about an old guy who just can't give up robbing banks. The story is pretty simple and doesn't have tons of surprises, but that's ok. It still gets an A from me.
