Great pick. He wasn't falling past my next selection.

Thank you. I was shocked he was there by the time I got to select. I was shocked he was there by the time I got to select.

Hey now, our ability to sign FA Comanthers is the best in the league.

    Beyond that... questionable.

I’ll be honest every time I read Comathers, I just naturally start reading everything in Mike Tyson’s voice.  Funny how the brain works.

I now return y’all to your regularly scheduled thread topic!

"With their first... and second picks of the NFL draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select... Davante Adams!!!!"

    Just win baby 😭.

Edit: Only potentially 3.5 days until my first selection!

I've been doing this wrong the whole time.

Well not the whole time.  There was that time I posted a picture of an Easton Hockey Stick for Easton Stick.

No you didn't, you chose a flashy picture it was just of the player on the wrong team and your player dropping the ball 🤣.  I just want one time to be part of this mock draft system and get to pick in the first.  Stupid Texans last year, now the stupid Raiders 😭

It's been 20 years since Green Bay has drafted a WR in the first round, but the need is dire, and the value is too great to pass up.  With the first round pick, courtesy of @Commander_N_Chief kindly sending it to me for Davante Adams (along with a 2nd round pick), the Green Bay Packers are opting to select Davante's Replacement.

    Jameson Williams - WR, ALABAMA

Before tearing his ACL in the championship game, Williams was on track to be the first WR off the board.  At 6'2", he has the requisite height to play the boundary, and while unable to perform at the combine due to his injury, he's been estimated to have a 40-yard-dash sub 4.3 seconds.  In addition to being a top receiving talent, he's also proven effective as a kick returning with two returns for TDs last year, and we need all the help we can get at Special Teams after that fiasco against the Niners.  At #22, Green Bay is thrilled to welcome such a top end talent this late in the round.

I hope the ligament never fully heals for y'all.  (However so I can make sure all stays in balance for the universe....this was a joke).

Edit: Rumors are also that he has horrible foot odor...

I think it's pretty cool that some GMs have two picks in the first.  And the ones that do are super cool.  And attractive.

As the fictional gm who would never have approved this Adams trade... respectably **** off 😭😉

  7. New rule for discussion for 2023 year: If the first pick doesn't have a decision within the hour, they forfeit rights to the pick and the person with the least amount of picks makes pick for you 👀.

In all seriousness I do hope they're ok.

I don't believe drafting in the first should ever be strictly based on need.

Further, I think what we need has some high end talent at 11 that may not be available later.

Third, a small caveat to my stance is just how far back we go. Not interested in falling into the 20s.

I don't necessarily believe drafting for need is important either, and would say I lean best player available.  To me this draft is stacked with talent at multiple positions but there's not much difference IMHO between who you could get at 11 or 20-25(obviously this is assuming someone from top 4-6 slip).  Its one of the great things about the draft, different opinions...example: if I can get Olave between 19-25 like most mocks seem to have him...I'm doing it every time 🤷‍♂️.

You'd have to do a lot of convincing for me to think trading back is a viable option. A lot.

You and I are opposite on this one...you'd have a hard time convincing me based on our needs and what this draft has, hat we should stay put.

Hamilton looks like an Ed Reed/Brian Dawkins type of game influencer. Easily my top get. If he's not there, I'd slide back a bit.

Hamilton looks good but I've watched enough tape to see he's beatable in man.  I'd have rather drafter Reed or Dawkins coming out(not accounting their pro careers).

I love running mocks all day long when I get bored.Pittsburgh sent me 20 and 52 for 11.

    20. Chris Olave, WR Ohio State

    47. Christian Harris, LB Alabama

    52. Jaylen Wydermeyer, TE Texas A&M

Doesn't address the secondary, but I assume we'll hit some stuff in FA still.

I'd be pretty happy with that, what's your favorite mock.  Some of these I see and I can't believe where and when players are selected.

I haven't watched enough games to weigh-in but I have had them as a toss-up but I have always felt Olave's route-running put him in the Terry McLaurin territory. I'll take another Terry any day, so I would LOVE this. I don't know how far we could trade down to get Olave, but I would love to add another 2nd or pair of 3's and still get Olave.

I consistently see Olave in the low to mid twenties.  So while we may not be able to garner a king's ransom for trading down we could at least recoup the loss of our 3rd this year or the 2/3 next year.  Olave also has the longer body of work, is very "Terry McLaurin" not only from the crisp routes he runs but he's willing to do whatever you need from him.  Fans would be extremely happy with a Terry/Olave combo.

Some of you would absolutely fall head over heels for the updated CBSSports 2-round mock.

#11: Garrett Wilson, WR Ohio State

#47: Jaquan Brisker, S Penn State

Still need a MLB in that scenario, but assuming we add one in free agency, that would be a hell of a draft.

Diehard OSU fan...I know I'll be in the vast minority when saying this hot take but Olave will have the better career.  Do what you can to trade down and take Olave and get some additional picks
