Ooohh! My kids, favorite topic! Some of ya’ll know my 17 year old plays soccer...a lot. He’s playing in the US Youth Soccer National League this year! Got his first minutes at the National League level this past weekend. He would have gotten his first start but North Carolina had to order 12 inches of snow!!! He’s a great kid, and couldn’t be more proud. So the day after his high school team gets knocked out of the playoffs, he’d up at 5:15am and in the pool with the swimteam to get his endurance up...110% his choice Here he is getting his first red card of his career in that game. Down 3-0 at that point and the kid with the legs ran up in his face after a goal. He didn’t deck him but the shove helped him find his seat. First time he wasn’t able to walk off the field. Took a hard kick to the outside of the knee, triggered serious nerve pain. Thought it was a serious injury...thankfully he was back out the next week. All in a day’s work... And I have a daughter! 13 years old, sharp as a tack, Does a little bit of everything. Plays some soccer, cheered for a couple years. She’s my buddy! With her best frand! My BBQ Princess!!

I like the bone on, mostly because I like to eat then wth my fingers and it gives me a handle. I don’t know about all the “on the bone adds more flavor” that I hear so much these days. I mean what process is taking place when I cook that takes bone flavor and imparts it to the meat?

This is about where I am too. I just wasn’t expecting a pile of pale minced meat with little to no smoke. I’ve had whole hog before and it’s always been rich, smoky and flavorful. I like my sauce thinner with a tomato vinegar base with spices. This pork just tasted sour and bland. The rib sauce was better but still hardly any smoke on it. NC whole hog may well be the original whatever, I won’t even bother arguing it. But geeze ya gotta have flavor other than sourness. I mean pork is pretty subtle to begin with so without smoke and spices it’s just...bleh. For me BBQ is: Pulled pork: smoked pork butts with bark and nice hardwood flavor, and if you desire a thinner rich sauce. Ribs: dry rub, smoked, baby backs. I like St. Louis style too though. But I hate sloppy sweet dessert ribs. Beef: richly smoked peppered brisket well rendered and fall apart. Beef ribs are nice too but they can dry out easily. Chicken: not big on smoked chicken, but it has to be smoked with crispy skin and some rub. Turkey: I LOVE smoked turkey, especially a heavily smoked leg that tastes about like ham.

It's absolutely hilarious, in a total mind **** sort of way. They simply don't give a rat's ass about Trump's crimes, all they want to do is continue to put attention on someone who isn't even in office any longer. They're true believers I'm sure think that all this Trump/Russia stuff is just sour grapes, but the members of Congress know differently, as such they're truly in jeopardy of genuine obstruction of justice themselves.

Well, since that includes more than a few in this membership I figured that I'd keep the calls for outright violence to a minimum.
