  1. The "zero tolerance" policy enacted by Trump/Sessions/Nielson prosecutes anybody illegally entering the country, even when seeking asylum. This policy by necessity separates children from the parents and leaves BPA's and immigration judges zero discretion for catch and release. What makes it gross beyond the pale is that the separation consequence is one of the reasons for its enactment, as a deterrent to immigration in general.
  2. This is exactly what I am seeing too. However, its on Facebook, only about 3 folks (out of hundreds of my friends) and those same three are the only one's who Like it or comment.
  3. How Trump’s family separation policy became what it is today https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/how-trumps-family-separation-policy-has-become-what-it-is-today
  4. You're right. I saw a separate one 2 pages back. Good eye. Thanks.
  5. That Jon Favreau tweet with the pic of kids in a cage in 2014 is in this thread in the last couple pages.
  6. You're right, it is the wrong card to pull. My humblest apologies.
  7. For Prez? Evan McMullin. I couldn't vote for either. I'm ashamed that it came to it. My point was that a lot of people gripe on the internet, but don't do anything in real life about it. I'm against this practice. Have been from the beginning. If I could've signed my name to this letter I would've. http://evangelicalimmigrationtable.com/cms/assets/uploads/2018/06/EIT-Family-Separation-Letter-6.1.2018.pdf
  8. Oh I care, and I figured you probably would've. All three of mine are Democrats. Do you think they don't care either?
  9. Have you all written or called your Congressman to demand action on this?
  10. From my understanding, its because they are enforcing the laws with zero tolerance. Those same laws mandate the separation during the process. Another exacerbating circumstance is HHS and DHS have little to no coordination, other than DHS saying "here you go" and turning over the kids while the parents are incarcerated. This has been the law for a while I think, going back to the 80's maybe? Its just in the past, DHS just said "gimme your names, and come back for a hearing." Now they aren't, which has exposed a fatal flaw (among other things).
  11. Let's be honest, the real problem is not a policy, that just exacerbated the real problem, which is the system is broken. Now that the laws (as unjust as they seem) are enforced completely, it has resulted in what has been lurking under the bed for years. This needs legislation honestly. I hate to sound like I'm passing the buck to Congress or past administrations, because I despise President Trump and AG Sessions.
  12. I agree with Mrs. Bush and am against separating any families. I also read Blitzer's article. The problem with articles like this, and I understand why it is, is that he cites "a person who told me" or makes a fact claim based on opinion. Not that that doesn't happen everyday, especially on here.
  13. It will accomplish very little with regard to alpha Don. Maybe it will get a few minions or even a son. But not the President. $2.8 million is not big enough.
  14. At least he didn't seem to take criticism personally and lash back like Trump did with Trudeau. Trump has all the marks of a despot.
  15. It could be that, or men who are attracted to perverse sins like pedophilia and rape go into it seeking an escape or refuge in celibacy, but soon realize that its not, and in fact its a ripe environment.
  16. Are you Kevin Sheehan? lol I agree with you on Ovechkin's greatness and I'm not a big hockey fan.

  18. Evangelical leaders rebuke Donald Trump for separating immigrant children from families at border https://www.christiantoday.com/article/evangelical-leaders-rebuke-donald-trump-for-separating-immigrant-children-from-families-at-border/129568.htm
  19. Well, radical Hindu's don't blow stuff up... in the USA. They only do that in India. When they get here then we'll label them as terrorist sympathizers based on religion.
  20. It will never be forgotten as long as one player continues to kneel unfortunately.
  21. Jesse Duplaintis is NOT an evangelical, even though I'm sure he thinks that. He's a heretic Word of Faith in the same lineage as Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and Creflo Dollar. They take "positive thoughts" theology and mix it with a little gospel. This article is more generous and gentle than I would be. https://www.gotquestions.org/Word-Faith.html
  22. They are reacting the way Trump wants them too, because they have no choice. He's like a Sith Lord.
