  1. The pattern is that you should NOT be afraid to make changes just because you made a mistake. Just like QBs, you keep drafting QBs until you get lucky and get a franchise QB.
  2. You should fire him. It was like the play the Giants had on 4th down that was an incomplete pass but wasn't challenged. You lose nothing firing Ron and his Defensive Coordinator. You audition EB to see what he's got. Audition someone else for the DC job. If they surprise you and make the playoffs, it is a win. If they end up improving their draft order (by going on an extended losing streak), it is a win. The longer you keep Ron and his crew the longer it affects the rebuild. This team can't be mired in being just below average... they should stink completely so you can have a real rebuild. Not "we are a couple of players away". We are NOT!
  3. Glad they are able to get something for both Ends. Now, they need to fire the rest of the front office including the Team President. All vestiges of the Snyder Era should come to an end. Thank you, Chase. Thank you, Montez. Wishing you guys good health and success... but not when you play us.
  4. Good game by the Offense and Special Teams. Wish Terry came down with those catchable passes. Nothing to say about Ron and his man Friday, Jack. Front Office, please, trade any of the 2 or both Ends. You can't sign both. Maybe not having them will force the coaches to scheme defenses that could get off the field.
  5. Ron's infatuation with slow linebackers did not end with Jon Bostic.
  6. Maybe I am a glutton for punishment but I rewatch games over and over. Don't really watch much TV aside from my football Sunday gameday experience. When you get a chance you will notice the design of some of the plays... where attention on route runners typically takes attention away from the backs out of the backfield, enough time before the backers recognize that the back is unaccounted for. Dumping it off in plenty of time will allow the RB to get the ball in space. It is also why our screen game has worked in the first 2 games. They also worked because he got them the ball before the DBs/LBs recognized that the RB was unaccounted for. In a lot of the sacks he has taken he has had an outlet pass but he being a gamer, tries to make plays. I wish he had someone like Alex Smith mentoring him. Or he should just watch tapes of Alex Smith. My thinking also is that EB is also setting things up for later down the season. Showing stuff and tendencies early (1st quarter of the season) for use later in the season, especially against divisional opponents. This game will let me know how good or bad the combo of EB/Howell is.
  7. It is mostly on Sam by a lopsided margin. Not only does he hold onto the ball, his pocket awareness still needs a lot of work. I like him but he should help himself or he will be on the list of former Washington QBs. He has to try to get into a rhythm early by checking down early and often to keep drives alive and get the DBs squatting on routes. It sets up the deep shots downfield. What is most infuriating is that the early dump-offs are there and he does not take them. He has to learn to play situational football.
  8. I guess you are asking for more from the Defense? But it was their stops that helped the offense get into gear (rhythm) for the 2 comeback wins. How about the offense getting a lead early and watch the Defense get sack-happy and get 9 sacks? We have to play complementary football. Simples!
  9. I rewatched the game. I recommend folks rewatch the game. Dag dem 5 turnovers. It made the game look worse than it actually was. Just wished we had taken the points when they were there. But one will think that not converting on 4 and goal would have presented the Defense with an opportunity to get a safety or a turnover. Even with all the sacks and missed opportunities, they game turned completely on Antonio Gibson fumble. The key against the Eagles will be to hold to the ball and punt the ball even when there's a temptation to try a long field goal. Try to win the field possession game.
  10. When are they gonna fire Jason Wright?
  11. They have to incorporate the fake action... jet sweep in their play design. Give the defense something to think about on every play. Buy Howell a couple of seconds.
  12. Can someone send a memo out to EB that this is the NFC-East? You need to learn how to run the ball on a consistent basis. This O-Line is not built to pass protect. I won't mind if Sam goes back to a 2 read and tuck the ball and run or throw it away scheme. The good thing is that unlike in years past we are at least going to end the first quarter of the season .500 or better. But for goodness sake, protect the kid from himself.
  13. Rewatched the 2021 Week 3 game against the Bills. The key is turnovers. Whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game. 31-28 the good guys.
  14. I was sooooo happy to see Chase come back and make an impact. Had some rust but he sure looked real good. The D looked better (scary). I am praying he stays healthy. Want to see the young man succeed.
  15. I think the kid can play in this league. He is a natural runner. Wish he was better at Passpro. Would have loved him on the team to be used on screens. Will be difficult to locate just like Deuce Vaughn (who is considered a little person) but more like MJD. I hope he gets resigned by the Skins.
  16. I am hoping he is close to being normal. He is still very young. They can't keep him and Montez. Personally, if I were to choose between the two of them I will choose Chase. For some reason, I keep thinking that had Chase been the one at the end of the "Almost" sack plays that Montez was in on last year, he would've finished them. If the Steelers want Chase for a 2nd rounder, I will take it. Better than losing him for nothing. But will the new ownership authorize such trades?
  17. It was alleged he doesn't want to be a full-time coach but I suspect that the reason could have more to do with his off-field conduct that led to him losing his job with the Network. His input was noticeable with the DL. Payne should give him a commission.
  18. Welcome to the team. Work hard, learn the playbook, and stay healthy.
  19. Mr. Payne should find something for Coaches Z, Kerrigan, and Sapp. Coaching does make a difference.
  20. So what exactly did the Rams do with the picks they got? Robert was ORTY and helped us win the NFC East. What did the Rams get with their player haul?
  21. First person I will fire in that organization is the disaster of a hire called, Jason Wright. He has been an unmitigated disaster.
