    Yes I've been thinking this. Apparently, Mayhew was running point on the ops piece of the front office, which he was well equipped to do given his legal background. It's probably one reason they haven't fired him yet. You can bring in Peters as EVP of Football Ops and allow Mayhew to stay in his GM role and allow Mayhew to continue focusing on ops

    I agree. This team could use some real leaders who have been there, done that. Guys like a Calais Campbell, Mike Evans and Lavonte David

    It is clear to me, at this point, that no matter what he does in the playoffs, he is getting a 1 year deal. I bet he will be signing 1 year deals the rest of his career because teams are very scared about his knee. Remember it was reported teams were willing to give up a 2nd+ for Chase until they got the medicals on his knee. That meant that the original intention was to likely trade for and extend Chase but the extension piece was taken off the table when they saw the medicals

    Too many fans on this board equate "older" with "washed up" and get it completely wrong. 30+ year old guys are some of the best bargains in FA as many sign 1 year or shorter term deals for lower AAVs than what they really deserve. The Ravens have had some notable examples of this over the past few years with Calais Campbell, Justin Houston and Morgan Moses. Not only do they provide value relative to cost but they also help fill the much needed leadership void has had for years.

    Yep McClay would be #1 for me too. Sure player development is a piece of the equation but this guy drafts All Pro after All Pro continuously. I would just hope Quinn isn’t forcibly attached

    Apparently Daboll told Wink he was staying but wanted to fire a couple of his assistants. Wink said no and resigned instead. Now that the Daboll regime is entering year 3, I don’t see top flight DCs going there if they have their choice. They might be able to snag Frazier due to his relationship with Daboll but let’s see

    Wink is one creative dude but I am more intrigued by others who aren’t so dependent on being blitz heavy. Of folks who we know are available, Nielsen, Graham and Frazier intrigue me more

    There is definitely going to be a new GM. I think the key is having someone who can oversee anything related to personnel next couple weeks until a GM is hired

    Jameis apparently took a vote in the huddle. Jamaal Williams is an extremely popular player and was one in Detroit as well. They wanted to get him his first TD of the season
