Dont Taze Me Bro Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 Thought we had one on this already, searched and couldn't find one, even looked back through the pages in the Tailgate all the way back to 2013 and didn't see one. So, discuss. Season 1 I thought was awesome, very cool, drew you in, etc. Season 2 I would say was equally good but in a different way. Lots of character development and background stories, which I liked to see. Then the season finale was awesome. Started Season 3 on Monday, I'm 6 episodes into it and while it is still holding my attention, it's kind of lacking some. Can't really pin point it. There have been some good plot twists, so my guess is they are building up for something big. Enjoying it, but not as much as the first 2 seasons, yet. Hoping it'll pick up some. I never get tired of seing Chapman and Vause kissing, though. Glad I'm not the only one that felt that way about season 3. I feel like if they don't pick up some steam moving forward, season 4 might get cancelled. Speaking of Piper and Vause, the main story is about them and I feel that they have abandoned the main story line a little to much to work in the other background stories. I know they have to switch it up and what not. But it's like they pushed that one to the side and all the sub stories are dominating (e.g. Red's issues, Sam's issues, Dayanara, etc.). I know they introduced the one new inmate, Lolly (actress Lori Petty - Kit from A League of Their Own). But I think to keep it fresh, they need to introduce some newer inmates every few episodes. Tazer, been treading the interWeb forums lightly to avoid spoilers, but a lot of folks felt season 3 was kinda meh. Chew Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 Seems pretty predictable. Disagree. This show kept me guessing as to what would happen next. The build up and tension is incredible. Wife and I were late, after season 2 came out, we bought into the hype and binge watched seasons 1 and 2. The cliffhangers were too much to watch just one episode, we'd watch 3-4 episodes a day because we couldn't wait to see what happened lol It eon all kinds of awards. The acting is superb, many careers have been jump started due to being part of the cast. Lots of unknown actresses who will go on to get roles from their performances on OITNB. Seasons 1 and 2 were great enough to hold my interest through 3 and even into season 4. If it jumps the shark, I'll still finish it, simply for closure. I get what you are saying though, the writing is good, the actors are good. I'm sure I'll check it out at some point. Lesbians, girl fights, crazy CO's to deal with... Ehh... It's solid, it's a good show and I'm enjoying it. But season 1 and 2, I felt like I had to watch the next episode and looked forward to it. Now, six episodes in season 3, I want to watch it, but putting it off a few days is no biggie. I wouldn't call it a down season overall, just compared to the previous. It got better towards the end though.
