S.T.real,lights,out
Yup, was reading not too long ago of Twitter. Dont understand. The eagles were bad b/c their D was bad. So they bring in a guy who has never had a good D in Oregon. Glad we get to play them 2x a year

burgundyrush
I hope we don't play them early on. I'm sure Chip can easily out-coach Haslett. Look at what he did to Monte at USC.
pjfootballer
Steve Spurrier Part Deaux!!
BryenJ1982
Isn't Oregon set to be hit with NCAA sanctions? I guess we'll wait and see, but I wouldn't be suprised if that factored into his decision to make the move. I think this BS that these college coaches jump ship with no penalty whatsoever. Two words: Pete Carroll
orlskinsfan
The reason his offense works so well in the college ranks is because his talent far exceeds those of the teams he plays. It will definatley be interesting to see how he transitions to the NFL though. If Vick is still the QB i expect him to be knocked out by week 3 as he isnt smart enough to run the read option effectively and he is way to inaccurate as a qb. the burgundy and gold
Well this will certainly be interesting if nothing else.
HogNose
So does this mean read option or a variation of it for Eagles too? I know nothing about this Kelly guy.
RWJ
The reason his offense works so well in the college ranks is because his talent far exceeds those of the teams he plays. Spot on. Totally different story in the NFL. Welcome to the National Football League, Chip. I can see him exiting Philthy in 2 to 3 years.
Hitman#21
Well this will certainly be interesting if nothing else. Yep, though not worried one bit.
emor09
There is literally no way his Oregon offense works in the NFL. It's going to have to be tweaked.
Hiro
If I were Oregon, I'd be pissed. The guy is just like another Bobby Petrino, a hired gun with no loyalty.
the burgundy and gold
QB situation is gonna be interesting with this signing. I'd say the chances of Vick returning are greatly increased, although still not likely IMO.
terpskins10
I'm thinking the Eagles may try and trade up for Geno Smith. He'd fit the offense well, or at least that would be the thought. Chip Kelly and Geno Smith the new face of Philly? It's like Christmas!
XxThaDoggxX
Don't really know what to think about this...Half of me thinks they will have a so-so offense with a terrible defense and not do anything, with Vick leaving on a stretcher around week 6 The other half of me worries for some reason Kelly really is an offensive mastermind and will have the eagle really making strong gains and taking the league by surprise. Either way I'm very interested to see the moves he's gonna make in the offseason
bcl05
I assume that this means that the NCAA is about to announce an investigation/sanctions against Oregon. What a weasel. I am curious to see how his O works. I am afraid that it will be very effective...

Hooper
I hate the Iggles, but damn, this is a great hire IMO. He ain't Spurrier. I bet he held out for full control and got it.
Tay
This is an interesting hire. He's was a hot commodity because of his preparation and attention to detail. Not just because of the Oregon offense. I'm interested to see how he adjusts to the league. I still think we handle them w/ RG3 at QB. This is still a QB driven league. RemoveSnyder
I like Kelly. I hate to see him go to philly. He's a damn good coach. He got lots of scheme and innovation.
redskns21
I don't like the Eagles either, but I too think this is a great hire. He's very dedicated to football, it's his life. He doesn't have family, he's not a golf junkie like Spurrier. I think he comes in and takes this very seriously and as soon as he has a QB that can stay healthy, they'll be a very good offensive team. The good part though, is I'm not as worried as I would have been pre-2012 as we have our own potent offense and franchise QB and a damn good RB and backup QB. I sincerely hope I'm wrong in my praise for him though and if sanctions are coming down at Oregon then I think this is a chicken #### move and doesn't show much character. mikered30
What are the possible sanctions against Oregon?
SkinFaninOKC
I won't under estimate Chip Kelly. Book it, Marcus Mariota will be their QB in a couple of years, the team will make the changes necessary to accommodate it. The Eagles will be a mess next season but it's too early to compare him to Steve O.
