Ricky Ervins
Kyle Orton has been named the Bears starting QB. Hows this for an introduction to the NFL... Gregg Williams defense in week 1. Good luck, Rook. Here is the article http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2145275
RDSKNfaithfull
per ESPN ticker First task for the rookie.... Washington Redskins and Greg Williams  :applause:
TimFolk
I just hope the D, doesn't underestimate him. He would have been a heisman canidate/1st round pick if he didn't get hurt last year. But I think we'll dominate that game imo.
TheDarb
Frankly, I'd rather face Hutchinson. He just plain sucks. But Orton doesn't scare me much, either.
Califan007 The Constipated
The Bears this preseason have had 52 offensive penalties in four games...I doubt putting a roookie QB in as starter is gonna help that stat too much. For the record, the Skins have had 19 offensive penalties in three games.

Brother Redskin
He is probably their best option and may come on late in the season, but that means little to us since they will not be there when we get to post-season play.
tizzod
Let's just hope he doesn't turn into Clint Longley on us. I never, ever, ever, ever, EVER want to hear that name again. Thanks!

demarc007
I'm not going to get overconfident. He is a rookie and our aggressive scheme should give him fits, however Chicago has a very good defense that can put points on the board themselves. Our offense must stay mistake free and not give Orton short fields to work with.

Art
This is a game we should be favored to win and should win pretty easily given their QB situation. It would be ONE HECK of a let down to really even be challenged all that much. Orton is in for a real introduction to the league .
ibrahim
Guys I am surprised you are NOW happy. We were better off with Hutchinson starting. HE SUCKS!!! Plus Orton is a pretty solid QB, however he is a rookie, LaVar should please introduce him to the NFL well .

Art
Orton is a rookie still learning not only how to throw the ball high after playing with a horrible release in college, but, learning how to drop back after playing in the shotgun. Hutchinson sucked, don't get me wrong, but, Orton will be lucky to throw for 100 yards in this game. But, I've been surprised before. This isn't about underestimating the opponent. A rookie with so much work to do JUST to learn how to drop back properly will have now know what hit him when the game is at full speed against this defense. We give mature QBs fits with where to go with the ball. No rookie's going to do much. If we self destruct, we'll lose. We know that. But, it won't have anything to do with the Bears. LiveStrongSkins
Let's just hope we can get lots of pressure on him. Because we can say what he want... even the most average of QB's can lob one up for Muhsin Muhammed. I have complete faith in Springs and Co. but Muhammed is a very good wide out who is more then capable of snatching a jumpball away from corners. skinsmania123
I saw Orton play the other night and I knew he was going to start. One thing about Rookie's is that they do not have enough experience to know that they should be nervous. Orton is very poised in the pocket, confident, accurate with his passes etc. And he has a great arm. A bit like how Ben looked last year for the Steelers. It will be good matchup for the Skins. Warhead36
Kyle Orton? They'd be better off starting WWE Superstar Randy Orton. 21-3 Skins.
