monkey66
Courtesy of CPND, apparently his salary info has been removed from the NFLPA site. I also checked and he is no longer on the redskins.com roster page.
Jay Master Jay
Good we have 2 draft picks that will be fighting for his job. Open Competition brings new blood on the team. New Hogs fighting for jobs.
Art
We had the same info here a couple of days ago when Bubbha noticed he wasn't on the NFLPA site. No announcement, but it certainly goes to figure with Barrow being added. This also may help explain the glut of offensive lineman we took in the draft and UDFA. Without Moore and with a release of Fiore if he has to retire, we are suddenly thin on the offensive line in terms of having any known, experienced players. Raymer or Friedman will be in reserve but otherwise, we are getting young bucks and hoping one or two of them make something of themselves. Oldskool
http://www.ourlads.com/secure/depthchart.cfm?index1=WAS Kinda slow, aren’t we? He’s been off the roster and cut per ourlads for 2 days now Look at the bottom left hand corner of the page where all the FA/CC’s are.
Die Hard
From Buddha yesterday: http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59302 Also, Larry Moore no longer appears in the NFLPA database. He may have been released to create cap room for Barrow. So far, this is the only evidence I have found that Moore may no longer be a Redskin. jbooma
I thought we couldn't release Moore yet because of his injury? Is he healthy again?
Jimbo
He's obviously healthy enough to be sent packing. I feel certain SOMEBODY will pick him up.
bulldog
we may still need to sign a vet to fill in at OG. one of the late draftees may be moved inside but it makes sense to grab some extra insurance just in case. These picks are probably a year or two from really contributing, unless we found the rare gem. of the other OL on the roster Winey and Terrell are tackles. I don't think either has played inside. If Raymer wins the center job I find it hard to believe Gibbs and Bugel are going to to with 285 pound Lennie Friedman at guard if Thomas or Dockery gets dinged. We did a nice job in the draft of solidifying the S and TE positions. We have two left to address - depth at OG and a situational pass rusher at DE. redman
If Fiore's healthy, then we don't need any OG help. We'll have three veteran linemen in reserve and a couple of prospects too. That's all the depth you can expect in this day and age.
Pocono
Originally posted by jbooma I thought we couldn't release Moore yet because of his injury? Is he healthy again? It could be an injury settlement or perhaps he did finally pass the physical which allowed them to cut him. Odd that he's still on the roster at the Skin's site and that there is no transaction listed.

sammino
olineman is one of the easier position to come in and play right away in the nfl.. especially if your only a backup... The skins picked thes guys up because they saw a lot in them and they graded several rounds higher than we chose (according to the skins). With Bugel, he can mold them to play to their strengths.. especially in this "lineman friendly" run first offense... A perfect example of this is the patriots, they seem to be able to plug in guys and switch around and so forth (like when woody got hurt and thye put their 7th? rounder in their at center)... Its very feasible that they can perform in this offense.
goldenster95
Here's the Post's article on Moore's release and the Browns' attempt to trade up for our #5 . . . http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A51441-2004Apr28.html Moore was released last week, but the move was never announced by the Redskins. Moore is expected to sign with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to another source. Moore missed the Redskins' minicamp last month with a bruised foot. The Redskins would have waived Moore sooner, but NFL rules prohibit an injured player from being released. The Redskins fall to $2.4 million under the salary cap, giving them room to sign their draft picks and perhaps another free agent, after the June 1 cuts. The Redskins haven't addressed their need for a pass-rush specialist. Around the league, among the defensive ends who may be waived are Joe Johnson of the Green Bay Packers and Hugh Douglas of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Redskins Note: According to an NFL front-office official, the Browns on Saturday offered their original No. 7 overall pick and a second-round selection to the Redskins in a bid to move up to Washington's No. 5 spot and take Taylor. The Browns also tried to move up to the New York Giants' No. 4 spot. After Washington chose Taylor, Cleveland got the No. 6 pick by giving Detroit the No. 7 spot plus a second-round choice. SkinsGuy
Thanks for the Post article, gold95. Well, this is one we all saw coming. He was to expensive to keep, and not that great a center to boot.

SkinsGuy
I think Trung will be gone soon, too. We've got Portis... Betts will be the change-of-pace back.

Heaven Forbid!!!! Someone needs to inform SI and Don Banks of the error in his reporting of the trading on Draft day 1. Surely it was Winslow the Browns were after, not Taylor? Surely it was just coincidence they happened to be talking to Taylor on the phone on camera right before we picked him. Surely they must have gotten his phone number confused with Monsieur Winslow's. I'm sure Don Banks will write a retraction anytime now.
Mr. S
Raymer is definitely gonna start at center I feel. Is Dockery gonna start at guard? He seemed to fill in well, and if Fiore is gonna go anyways, we should be fine. We still have our solid line around Jansen, Samuels, and Thomas. Winey, Dockery, Friedman all stepped in well, and we have a veteran in Raymer, leaving only the guard position with a player with less than 4 years experience. I'm glad Moore is gone, the next who needs to go is, you all prolly guessed it, DUNG!!!
