PleaseBlitz Posted January 18 Share Posted January 18 I think he is referring to a few astroturfed stories claiming that some extremist religious organizations (one notably run by a former (R) Senator from Kansas/Opus Dei religious nut) had their accounts closed, probably because the banks (as private businesses) didn't want to be associated with a toxic organization.. It's all just the right trying drum up sentiment that DEI policies by "elites" are a massive conspiracy against conservatives/christians/white people. I'm not aware of anyone plausibly claiming that individual citizens are being debanked because of their political beliefs. Back in reality, the main issue these days for bank regulators is fair lending and equal access to financial services.
