China
Families file suit against government claiming TWA Flight 800 was destroyed ‘by an errant United States missile’ Defense contractors and the U.S. Department of Defense are among defendants being named in a lawsuit filed by plaintiffs in connection with the TWA Flight 800 crash 26 years ago. The plane, en route to France from New York, crashed shortly after takeoff, claiming the lives of all those aboard, including Montoursville Area High School students and their chaperones. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts, charges that the federal government released a false report contending that the explosion in the plane was the result of an electrical fire in its center fuel tank. The lawsuit states: “Only recently, thanks to the work of physicist, Dr. Thomas Stalcup, through his Freedom of Information Act litigation in Massachusetts federal court, has evidence emerged proving that the TWA 800 explosion was not caused by any defect in the airplane, but instead by an errant United States missile fired at aerial target drones flying nearby.” It also noted that evidence founded by Stalcup establishes that the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, Department of Defense and the U.S. Navy acting in concert with Raytheon Company and Lockheed Martin Corp., were testing the Aegis Weapons System and firing SM-2 missiles with live warheads from warship(s) at aerial missile targets off the coast of New York in proximity to commercial airline paths. One such missile, it is contended, struck TWA Flight 800, causing it to break apart and crash into the Atlantic Ocean, killing everyone aboard. It is further contended by plaintiffs that the defendants “engaged in a top-down cover-up to prevent the public from learning the truth about TWA 800.” Click on the link for the full article
CousinsCowgirl84
I feel like if there was evidence than an explosion brought down the plane and the government was guilty they would blame it on terrorists, not a spark in a fuel tank which they admit came from unknown causes. It would be a lot easier to get the investigators on board with that based on the evidence. Edited July 25, 2022 by CousinsCowgirl84
DCSaints_fan
I think it would be rather difficult to cover up an errant missile hit from a US Navy vessel. You're talking about hundreds of personnel involved and not a soul spilling the beans. 5
CousinsCowgirl84
I’d be surprised if that “physicist” Stalcuo was doing this research pro bono from the goodness of his heart and not for the goodness of his wallet, but if I had to guess I assume he is just taking advantage of people looking to make sense of their tragedies

Dan T.
I have sympathy for the loss of loved ones, but the Venn diagram between people who believe a missile downed the plane and QAnon crazies would have 90 percent overlap. Here is Dr. Stalcup's affidavit on the matter, along with the list he presented of his curriculum vitae and experience. He appears to be uniquely unqualified to conduct the "analysis" he presented. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjH7IuZiJT5AhU_K0QIHSXvCwIQFnoECAQQAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Ftwa800.com%2Flahr%2Faffidavits%2Fe-tom-stalcup.pdf&usg=AOvVaw09LdKgH1GZcgOj1ex_espR Edited July 25, 2022 by Dan T. Dan T.
Quirky fact. The plane was piloted by a guy with the same last name as suicide doctor Jack "Dr. Death" Kevorkian, 58 year old Ralph Kevorkian.

Riggo-toni
I remember when this happened JFK'S former press secretary (Pierre Salinger?) was all over it, claiming there were witnesses who saw a missile shot.

Yeah this is a huge hole in almost every big conspiracy theory. By their very nature, most of those conspiracies would involve a huge number of people, and then assuming that literally every single one of those people at various levels would be part of the coverup and would also never say anything about it to anyone. It's just completely nonsensical. It's hard enough to keep even a small secret among a small group of people. If Bob can't keep Alice's secret about her love of Nickelback, you really think thousands of people would be able to keep a secret about something completely world changing?
Dan T.
They salvaged thousands of pieces of the plane from the ocean comprising almost the entire craft and reconstructed it in an aircraft hangar as part of the most extensive and costly crash investigation in U.S. history . It showed no evidence of a missile strike or a bomb.
