Lafleur is a coward who won't make changes until well past due. Should have fired Joe Barry mid-season, but LaFleur claimed he didn't want to make a mid-season move (because why risk breaking something that's... already broken), and then goes and keeps him after the season, too, because who knows. Same problem taking way too long to take Amari Rodgers off of kickoff/Punt returns despite fumble after fumble. And it's not like he was high risk high reward, either; fumbles aside he wasn't breaking big returns. Turns out we had an all-pro returner sitting on the bench waiting for coach to finally bench Rodgers (and subsequent cut since he contributed nothing on offense, either). This must be what folks who went to schools with football teams felt like when someone they rooted for from their Alma Mater gets drafted and starts playing for their favorite NFL team.
