Well he was drafted at 26 so not a top 10 QB but there are some who think he might be traded to the Saints. I know the injury is deemed ‘straight forward’ in terms of recovery, however it’s far from ideal for the 49ers or trading team. Because we had the same draft capital to give and neither franchise had a (good, Lock is in the trade but sucks) QB to give. Can’t blame Russ for not wanting to come here but that’s another high profile whiff for Rivera after a lot of big talk and (I assume) big effort. I'd read the last few weeks a lot of teams/agents thought Denver was a QB destination of choice. Probably didn't help that was on of Rodgers team too.
