With pick #253 the Minnesota Vikings select

Jon Gaines II , IOL, UCLA

Nailed the combine. Excellent in the run game, needs technical work on his pass pro game. Great character. Was going to take him in the 5th, can’t overlook him again.

I was strongly considering picking him.

With the 255th pick, the Bucs select OT Earl Bostick Jr, OT, Kansas.

Converted TE, athletic, but needs to improve his strength and technique.  Coaches are optimistic they can help him improve in those areas and have a guy who can help with OT depth.

First, thank you @COWBOY-KILLA- for running the draft! You get to do all the grunt work of keeping the OP up and in the end making sure we don't pick thed same guy.. ANd you do a great job of it! Thank you very much!

Also thank you to everyone who helped keep this going with a special shout out to @Chump Bailey But really great job everyone. We will likely be done today but certainly no later than tomorrow. Less than 2 weeks!!  The first one of these I did 8 yrs ago was almost 5 weeks. We thought we might not get done before the real draft. Good commissioner but some of the GMs would take forever and get skipped multiple times. It was brutal. But I still came back so you can see how much I enjoy it. I think we had a record low # of skips this year and they were just barely skips.

Absolute blast as always! This realily is one of my favorite things to do each year. I honestly believe some of you could work for teams. There is always a list of players I never heard of but they get drafted IRL. That's a credit to the work you all put in to make this a really fun exercise not just some fluff thing. Well done everyone!!!  To the new GMs- wow! Just wow!  Really nice job all of you! All of you represented yourselves and your teams well and also kept things going by being on top of your picks! Thanks and look this to happen again next year!

Atlanta and Arizona Drafts are done. Here is Atlanta. Atlanta needed Defensive help, especailly on the Dline and backfield. We clearly addressed that. Murphy was a no brainer at #8. Really like Ward and I think as a late rounder Lacy may surprise and make an impact. Boutte was probably drafted too high but he is a boom or bust type player and Atlanta needs targets for Ridder. Missed a few guys I wanted so overall I like but don't love this draft.

As for Arizona, I am a bit happier with thier draft. I got who is probably the best overall player in the draft in Anderson. I think IRL the Cards have a better chance of trading back but didn;t even get an offer in here. So who knows. Banks could slide into the 1st. I probably overdrafed Bigsby but I really like how his skills could translate to the NFL. I really think Koby Turner and Whyle and being underrated. We will see.

Don’t know why it’s taken me so many years to join in. That was great. Thanks to those running the show @COWBOY-KILLA- @goskins10 @Chump Bailey.

Minnesota Vikings draft in the book. Started with only 5 picks, ideal scenario was to move back in the first, take DL, add a couple more picks along the way. Went with what I felt was BPA for them in the first. Missed out on a RB later on as they may move on from Cook. That said...

Ended with 6 picks :

1.23 Quentin Johnston - WR TCU

3.87 Byron Young - Edge TENN

4.119 Terell Smith - CB Minnesota

5.173 Mohamoud Diabate - LB Utah

6.179 Dorian Thompson-Robinson - QB UCLA

7.253 Jon Gaines II - IOL UCLA

Priority UDFA targets :

Devonnsha Maxwell DL Chattanooga

DeMarcco Hellams DB Alabama

Nash Jensen OL North Dakota State

Scott Matlock DL Boise State

Having him listed as "Quan" made my search for Jartavius bring up nothing when I was looking to see if he was selected.  When I went to do final research before making the pick, I happened to see the nickname in the title of a page that came up in the search.  Had the same thing happen when I almost selected Nathanial "Tank" Dell.

Couple O-linemen I'd look at that weren't drafted:
John Ojukwu

Sidy Sow

Thanks to everyone, great jobs all around. Special thanks to @COWBOY-KILLA- and @Chump Bailey for keeping things on track.

I’ve been participating in this mock since 2015 and I think this is the fastest completion time. I’ll bet it’s because many of us had more than one team.

I really enjoy doing this and it makes the actual draft more interesting. Instead of just checking the picks of our beloved Commanders and the others in our division, I follow the whole draft from start to finish.
