On one ship I was on we sent one of the new Electronic Technicians up to stand watch at the ships mast with sound powered phones. There was a request that he had to run and get signatures like the Man Aloft paperwork and before going up he had to go to the bridge and get a crank wheel and the COs signature. When we approached the Coronado bridge (San Diego) one of the other ETs would tell him when to start on the phones. he'd have to use the wheel to crank down the mast so that the ships mast didn't hit the bridge.

 

Or underway Mail Bouy watch was another good one.
