Unless she has a back-lit keyboard, I suspect the lantern helps to see the keyboard.  The picture is ridiculous though.

True. Who brings a laptop to camping though. Not a good way to sell camping...lol

But, I am pretty sure she was just lighting up her face for the camera man instead.
