SkinFanInMinn
Os win. Break the streak of 19 in a row by the Yankees. Valdez is fun to watch pitch. Edited September 5, 2020 by SkinFanInMinn
DCSaints_fan
O's drop the first one in the doubl eheader, but finally end the Yankees loss streak at 19. Mountcastle continues to look really good.
capcrunch98
Has anyone been following Dylan Bundy this year? The guy has totally turned a corner and looks nothing like the pitcher who was seemingly giving up 8 HRs per game during his time with the O's. I'm happy for him, but it's frustrating to see yet another pitcher find his stuff after leaving Baltimore, especially a guy drafted as high as Bundy was. Is it just a change of scenery? Better health? Has he changed his techniques?

SkinFanInMinn
And another win against the evil empire! Come on let’s take 3 out of 4 this weekend. Nice to see DJ Stewart get a couple of HRs for his first two hits of the year. Edited September 6, 2020 by SkinFanInMinn

abdcskins
Is it me or is Gerrit Cole overrated as hell? Nice to see DJ Stewart with the good game. I had given up on him. That second HR was a bomb.
SkinFanInMinn
DJ Stewart with another one against Tanaka. You can’t stop him you can only hope to contain him. 😁 Edited September 7, 2020 by SkinFanInMinn

He’s got nasty stuff I’m not gonna judge Akin or Kremer based on rolling through a depleted Yankees lineup but I’m not surprised they are having success. It’s better for the entire organization to see these guys rather than retreads. Puts pressure on Elias and Angelos brothers to stop cutting payroll. He just one-upped DJ Lemahieu who couldn't make a similar play the inning before. Edited September 6, 2020 by DCSaints_fan

capcrunch98
2/3 of the way through the season, and we're way ahead of Boston and only 2 behind the Yankees. Don't think any of us saw that coming.

Mountcastle, Hays, Santander, Mullins, DJ, Diaz, Williams, McKenna all on the 40 man right by next season.

Even if he can't make the 40, doesn't mean he gets traded. Also someone would have to be willing to give something up for him, if he isn't on the 40 and doesn't have any options, he probably gets outrighted. Any kinda trade would be two teams trading from depth and not some good prospect exchange. One way he sticks is if Mancini comes back next season and the O’s trade him at the deadline. They could move Mountcastle to 1st or DH at that point. I’m skeptical DJ is with the O’s long term.

DCSaints_fan
Unfortunately some bad news, if you missed it - looks like Santander will miss the rest of the season https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29819456/orioles-anthony-santander-likely-season-oblique-strain
SkinFanInMinn
Yeah saw that on Santander. Sucks but gives a couple other guys a shot to show their stuff I guess. He had a good year. Hopefully he can continue to improve on it next year.

DCSaints_fan
Just tuned in ... 6-5 O's, Mountcastle and Stewart are raking ... now the Mets just "accidentally" beaned both of them. Hope Ruiz can make them pay for that.
