Well done Hudson.

Feel like fastballs up & in is the hole in Alonsos swing. And Hudson darted 4 in a row right there.

Yup he’s got launch angle fever. He hit a good pitch off Stras for the HR earlier but low pitches are his power zone.

I legitimately think Stras spent the rest of that inning wondering how the hell he did that, probably resulted in him giving up the 2nd homerun

what are you doing Doolittle?

Throwing a 92-93 mph fastball like he has been for like 6 weeks now. At 94-95 his fastball rises and misses bats. At 92 he’s just pumping straight into the hitting zone. Our early season bullpen woes might have cost us our closer... I fear he’ll cost us games in October when it counts the most.

He hit 94 repeatedly that at bat. But yes, he's getting tired.

Most of those pitches were 93 or under, but it’s really just about whether he’s getting the torque behind it to get the spin rate for the rising action. He’s been *just slightly* off for awhile... and it goes back to how much we had to use him when we had literally nobody else.
