Dan T.
Two cameras give a super close up view of a bald eagles' nest high up a tulip poplar somewhere on the grounds of DC's National Arboretum. There are two hatchlings in the nest, and two adult bald eagles care for them. It's oddly fascinating reality TV. http://www.eagles.org/dceaglecam/ Millions watched as the two eggs hatched a week or two ago. Now we get to see them grow as the mother carries up fish caught from the nearby Anacostia and feeds it to the hatchlings.
Burgold
There's also one or used to be one in Eastern Maryland very close to where Harriet Tubman lived. Always thought that was pretty cool and had a neat resonance.
Dan T.
The two hatchlings are alone right now with half a fish. Mom must be out hunting. The image clarity is remarkable, even when switching to full screen view. Edit: she's back.

Corcaigh
They've closed off the paths near the next in the arboretum. There wasn't much going on when we were there today but apparently other birds of prey were circling around earlier in the morning ... in case the parents don't keep the watch 24/7.
