And here I was thinking it was just hair bands like Quiet Riot, Ratt, Night Ranger and the like.

 

Meanwhile I was listening to  The Firm, Yes and Deep Purple, remnants of good '70s bands.  I clearly didn't have your connection to good music that didn't get radio airplay.
