Hey, the #Redskins finally got out of Cover 2 in the red zone! They went to Cover 3 and got beat for a TD anyway!


#Redskins Trent Murphy had a really disruptive pass rush play on Mon. He beat #77 w/his hands at LOS and ducked under Okung passing Orakpo.

The #Redskins have signed CB Greg Ducre from the #Chargers practice squad. He's on the active roster now.

 

Redskins announce they added CB Greg Ducre to 53-man roster. Also added LB Steve Beauharnais to practice squad.

 

Hope Skins give Jeffcoat a few snaps on D. Intrigued. Supposed tweener but great pedigree, v high production at UT.

 

Ducre was on Chargers practice squad.

 

The #Redskins have also signed LB Steve Beauharnais to the practice squad.

 

As reported last night, Redskins promoted Jackson Jeffcoat to 53-man roster from practice squad.

won't be any time soon, imho... will have to learn the defensive play calls that riley, as the 'mike' lb, knows...

 

We'll see. I know he went down during the game and we had to put in Compton. I don't know whether Compton knows the calls or not but if the defense is so complex that guys can't pick it up quickly then maybe we have an Al Saunders thing going on with our defense and need to simplify things.

I'm waiting for all the obnoxious self important whinge bags in the media lamenting how mean Clark is and how they're just "doing their jobs" and acting so taken aback by a player pushing back against their BS like they do everytime anyone says a negative word about the media.

Watched the Ryan Clark press conference, he didn't go off on the media. as for Kedric Golston, he went off on the media a bit, it was actually pretty hilarious. he was like "judge us by what we do ON the field, not off the field. if you see a guy joking in the locker room, ask him why hes joking after a loss. dont just ask the coach questions. i mean you can ask him whatever questions you want, but dont ask him about the mood in the locker room, because its 60 guys all together in there, they will have different moods. dont start a news story about the mood in the cafeteria or the lunch time topics in the cafeteria". then after he was done, there were 10 seconds of silence then a woman said "well, um, on a lighter note, how will it feel to play against lorenzo alexander this weekend?"

Originally blamed this 36 yarder on Perry Riley. But it's Ryan Clark's fault. He showed some lack of discipline in single high. Clark was reading Russell Wilson -- as the QB flushed right, Clark went that direction and allowed the TE (covered by Riley) to go down the field. Riley had no chance on this play. Not to mention, Clark lacks the speed/range to turn his hips and run that down. #Redskins #FilmStudy

As a coach, I can say this: The media, even the most well informed, well intentioned folks, often get stuff wrong because of the little things you can't see. It's why I tend to be careful with my analysis of players and coaches. I'm never sure exactly what someone is supposed to be doing. I only know what I can see on film and what I know about the game. But coaches and players all have different nuances and the culture/atmosphere is a fickle beast. It's tough for any outsider to truly understand those things.

 

I don't think it makes people dumb or ill-informed, though. Just out of the loop.

3rd and 6 early 4Q I think Cousins panicked. OL picked up the blitzes well. Cousins could have stepped up and found Pierre on the curl (bottom left) or a Andre Roberts who put a double move on Sherman and probably would have outran him down the field. #Redskins #FilmStudy
