I've been in the "I think Griffin will play Monday" camp.  Nice to hear it's a real possibility.

 

I know that a lot of people would like to see us go down the tubes and up the draft board, but I think there's certainly a better scenario.  And that scenario would be for Griffin to come back healthy, play lights out, and lead us to a respectable season.  I hope that starts on Monday night.

If you have ever had a surgery, a broken bone, a major injury to your body, your doctor tells you when you can return to work or return to daily activities.  It's not a mystery.  EVERY doctor predicting his return upon initial injury predicted a time line which started AFTER the Dallas game.  Suddenly nobody knows.  It doesn't pass the smell test.  And as Cooley said, it's really not even a competitive advantage.

 

 

I would say playing in an NFL game is a far cry from getting back to an office job. You have to see how the ankle holds up under extreme physical activity. And everyone heals differently. And as CaliFan posted above, there were plenty of reports in the 6-10 week range, the day after it happened. It will have been 8 weeks on Sunday.

 

If Belichick was doing this is would be consider ingenious. 

 

And I still don't see where Griffin is having any say in the decision.

yeah, he does and you're right on the other as well....  back in early august he had this quote in regards to playing his former team:

 

"It’s going to be a little strange, but it's going to be very, very exciting,”

 

but then he used the following context in regards to that....

 

 “Because you know it's a new team and like I said I'm looking forward to playing with these guys...."

When you're on a team that is squeaking out a rare win against bottom dwellers and going up against your former team, who is showing to be one of the best in the league, in large parts to a vastly improved defense that moved on from you, it's got to be really painful and embarrassing.

Exactly! Anything beyond health and health alone shouldnt matter! This isn't Kirk, its our third string QB!

 

No way our third string QB should start over RG3 when their reps the past few weeks with the starters have been basically the same (which is pretty much none).

Asked Bashaud Breeland if he’d ever been asked about playing safety. He said he did a little in college, but only in practices. ...

 

Breeland said he knows he’s got the safety skillset, but also feels he’s a good corner, and is committed to succeeding at that position.

 

Bashaud Breeland said as far as he knows the plan is for him to stay at LCB, Amerson at RCB and both will take turns vs. Dez w/ no D-Hall.

This is exactly what I've been saying. OMG the hysteria of Skins fans when it comes to RG3. There should be a book written based on all the extreme angles that fans take on this guy. We've seen Hatcher, Bowen and Jackson all play coming off an injury without any big news about being "rushed". Suddenly when RG3 is possibly healthy, its a bad thing?
