Redskin4ever
That sucks. I hope this doesn't ruin his chance in the NFL. I always saw him having a career similar to Josh Wilson.

I think he was a special player and would be a very good pro. Hope he gets a full recovery. I would have 'liked' it, but can't like news about the injury. Thanks for the update, though. On a good note, UMd Men's soccer continued their great season by winning on Senior night, 2-1 vs Hofstra: http://www.umterps.com/liveStats/v2/soccer/index.dbml?GAME_STAT_ID=2886667&db_oem_id=29700

I always saw him having a career similar to Josh Wilson. Always have been on the fence about him at the next level. His talent is real, but he is just so small. I don't see him as a DB in the league, maybe a return specialist, 3rd down back. He is electrifying with the ball in his hands in the open field. I always thought he was a late round pick, at best. Would be mildly shocked if he got drafted at all now. Talent like that will get a chance though.

Long n Left
Nice to see Dion back. If he can realize the potential he was said to show last training camp, this team could be sneaky good. I'm also looking forward to what Cekovsky will bring this year. He's got loads of natural ability, and at his size, should get plenty of opportunity to impress.
Diehard Otis
Well, the Terps got a helluva opportunity tonight verses Michigan State. Even with them having a down year, this would be a huge Win. I'm ready for some magic! Edited October 22, 2016 by Diehard Otis
Redskin4ever
So is this guy from Michigan St always this dirty? 2 obvious late hits and now he goes head hunting? In a way, I'm disappointed he's been ejected because he has more yards in penalties yards than the MD offense. Edit: Well, I guess now that he is out MD can move the ball. The TD and the swinging gate 2 point conversion. Jim Zorn eat your heart out. Edited October 23, 2016 by Redskin4ever

Diehard Otis
WoW. Maryland's got a plucky, hard playing, well coached team. They are not backing down to Michigan State one bit. Although it's clear that the Spartans have more talent, the Terrapins look like the better team. Durkin may prove to be the best hire for the Program since The Fridge. Long n Left
Excellent win by the Terps regardless of how poorly MSU is playing this year. MSU is a monster program, and besting them should always be celebrated. Also, this puts the Terps one win away from bowl qualification, which would be a MAJOR triumph in DJ's first year. The remainder of the schedule has no gimmies, so if the Terps can nick one more, I will be thrilled! btfoom
NIce to see the coach being so enthusiastic: http://maryland.247sports.com/Bolt/Watch-Terps-Celebrate-MSU-Victory-48453261 It didn’t matter that Michigan State had lost four games in a row. It didn’t matter that the Terps had a two game losing streak of their own. Ahead of Saturday night’s showdown under the lights at Maryland Stadium, DJ Durkin’s message to his team was simple: go have fun and enjoy playing a Big Ten power like the Spartans on national TV. The message was well-received. The players came out with energy and appeared loose, especially after the coaching staff dialed up a few trick plays to have a little fun themselves. Afterwards, the celebration carried over to the locker room. Here’s the scene: Edited October 23, 2016 by btfoom
pjfootballer
Beat Indiana and we clinch a bowl at 6-2. The Minnesota loss STILL eats at me. I think that was a crucial loss. Would have been nice to be 7-1 with the OSU, Michigan, Nebraska gauntlet after that. Figure to have been 7-4 and then hopefully beat Rutgers and end 8-4. My thinking is 7-5, which would be decent for DJs first year.
Redskin4ever
During the game, the announcers couldn't stop talking about how upbeat and enthusiastic the coaching staff is. They were so impressed with their upbeat attitude about the program and the direction it was heading. It was almost as if the announcers were surprised to hear that. But videos and stories like what BTFOOM posted show that isn't just for show. It's the tone the coaches want to set for the entire program for this year and beyond.

BRAVEONAWARPATH
http://maryland.247sports.com/Bolt/Harrisons-Big-Freshman-Year-Continues--48480730 Quote Harrison's Big Freshman Year Continues An afterthought in a crowded Maryland backfield entering the fall, Lorenzo Harrison has emerged as a star on the Terps' offense. His strong rookie compaign continued Saturday with a career-high 105-yard performance in Maryland's win over Michigan State, which earned him Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday morning. The 5-foot-8, 193-pound running back from DeMatha High is Maryland's leading rusher this season with 502 yards and needs only 188 yards to break Lamont Jordan's school record for rushing yards y a freshman. He's also fifth nationally among true freshmen in rushing yards and yards per game (71.7). His 7.7 yards per carry average ranks fourth in the Big Ten, with Maryland sophomore Ty Johnson ranking first at 10.3 yards per run. Harrison was the least touted of four 2016 signees from local powerhouse DeMatha, but his ultra-shifty running style and speed have made him a big-play threat upon arrival. "If we added up Lorenzo’s side to side yards, he may have had 400 yards," Maryland coach DJ Durkin joked on Saturday. btfoom
UMd men's soccer completed an undefeated (and untied) home season, defeating Delaware 3-2 in overtime. First perfect home record since 2005: http://www.umterps.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=29700&ATCLID=211251493 COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Sophomore Gordon Wild netted a hat trick to lead the No. 1 Maryland men’s soccer team to a 3-2 double overtime victory over Delaware Tuesday night. Wild – who is second nationally in goals scored with 14 – scored the game-winner, his sixth of the year, in the 107th minute to give Maryland (14-0-2, 6-0-1 B1G) its 11thstraight win. The Terps have not lost since falling to Ohio State in Columbus on Oct. 31, 2015 – a stretch of 21-consecutive matches. With the win, Maryland wrapped up its first perfect home regular season (11-0) since 2005, when it captured the national championship.<rest at link> Bold emphasis is mine.
