What are you going to pay him with, Monopoly money? Mara and Goodell really screwed us.

We're stuck with this crew until the end of the season.

We're under the cap by between two and three million. His salary for this year is only around 650,000.

Routt was drafted to be a straight up, press man corner. He's lost when he has to play zone, and he gets a ton of unnecessary penalties. That's why he struggled in Kansas City; they asked him to play zone, which is just not what he's good at. It's the same reason why Nnamdi is a shell of his former self; these guys are just better playing press man coverage on 99% of their snaps on one side of the field than they are doing pretty much anything else.

We run zone 95% of the time, to an almost maddening degree. Haslett's "bend but don't break" wimpy defense is all about not getting beat deep (even though it happens anyway) so we rush four and drop 7 into zone coverage on just about every play. Routt would be lost in this system.

I think the guy has some talent, but he'd be lost here. We'd never play to his strengths. We don't even play to the strengths of the guys we have.

Dude, Hall or Wilson ARE NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!! Look at the safety position. Who was suppose to be there to start the season, and who is playing now? Wilson has called out the safeties and gotten in trouble previously.

Sorry to single you out, apparently everyone in this thread thinks the issue is the corners.

I was live up close and personal at the Panthers game and Wilson was getting toasted on the regular. A nickle back trying to be a starter.
