  1. One other thing i liked today was Norman not being on the field. Granted there wasn't much passing at all but i felt better knowing Norman's guy wasn't running free. Moreau's best game since coming back. No holding calls against him today.
  2. Zero confidence. Gets happy feet quick and accuracy is piss poor. He's left a lot of points on the field. Finally actually connected w/ Quinn. Call me ignorant, but i just don't see what he's giving the team that Haskins can't at this point.
  3. Already doing that every time Keenum doesn't hand off the ball. Just our sad state at this point.
  4. Thx you good sir. I just needed that sanity check. I'm so DAYUM tired of seeing bunch formations and stacked boxes. We create stacked boxes and try to run on them. We don't spread the field or use half of it. We don't run slants, curls, or comebacks.
  5. That's where i am. Wanna know how autonomous KOC is in playcalling. The screen for a first used their aggressiveness against them. The play where Smallwood moved up closer to the LOS and he hit Quinn showed thought but other than that i saw nothing inspiring.
  6. So why did it work for the Niners? They stuck to the run game, didn't do anything fancy. Oh yeah, Case got out played by Jimmy G.

Poll: When will Gruden be fired

Really interested to know how much autonomy KOC has in playcalling. Two games in and really not impressed thus far. Just finished watching the Niners game. How many Sims gadget plays are we gonna call per game? Felt like they went away from downhill running and got too cute.

Game Day Thread - Cow****es at Redskins

Watching the game you're just floored by the miss tackles, bad schemes, and utter lack of discipline and technique. Everyone looks out of place and clueless.

Greg Manusky Why Isn't He Fired Yet?

The same reason he killed Norman on a rte. It'd if been different if he bodied him up. No, he killed him on a rte. Norman can't cover Witten. He has no biz being on the field at all.

Said that today watching the game.

The Skins Can't Win With These Coaches

I'm just flabbergasted by the play calling. DL looks like it's getting worn down quick. They don't send any heat. Norman is sooo bad they back off everyone. How many times does he have to get isolated on a speed WR before they recognize and adjust. Teams are looking for him. He's averaging a +40 yd td a game. I wouldn't even be mad if the secondary was getting beat in press man. But it's death by a 1,000 cuts watching them. I like Holcomb but he was getting swallowed by dallass OL. SMDH

Redskins vs Eagles Prediction Thread: 2019 Kick-Off Spectacular

IDK, i think if we do what we did last year we'll win this game. Ugly low scoring defensive game. Can't wait to see Scary Terry, Guise,a healthy Reed, and that D get after it. Really excited about seeing Da'Ron Payne take it to that next level and put the D on the map.
  14. You'd of thought this was wk 17 w/ everything on the line the way some ppl were reacting. Browns go first team both sides of the ball and begin the game in 2 min offense. Looks like  a lot of folks were looking for the big win. Glad to see someone w/ realistic expectations.  #HTTR#

      Thank you.

It seems like the thinking here by some is that if you have logical reasons for why things worked out the way they did, you are being illogical, and believe the team is going 14-2 this season. :)

I don't believe that, but that doesn't mean I can't see when two teams playing each other have to different agendas.

    2019 Comprehensive Draft Thread

    Best draft I can remember.
  16. Clearly Dunny was the best cover corner prior to his freak injury. Curious as to what Moreau can do w/ starter reps.
  17. Saw this on B/R and instantly thought UPGRADE. Love the move. Let's DRC just be ball hawk. Less wear and tear on the body. Only question left is Nicholson done?

Game Day Thread - Redskins at An's Boobs

Watched the game, and was pleasantly surprised. Every issue I had with Gruden I still have, but he had the team looking competent. (Considering) If they look like this next week against Philly Gruden is definitely coming back. In spite of everything the team actually had a chance to win yesterday. That over throw to Doctson on the first possession. Skinz settled for a FG. That was the deciding factor. Doctson got loose a couple times. Behind this rag tag, fourth string, intermural JuCo practice squad OL. Saw AP start to shimmer. Too bad we didn't have the talent to let him bling.

Safety Clinton Dix to the skins

I don't see Norman on the team next year unless he takes a big pay cut. Was thinking the move Dunny to CB1. Moreau outside. Hence Stroman getting all the reps. Really curious as to the development of Alexander.

Safety Clinton Dix to the skins

Initially that was my thought in regards to Nicholson. But..... What if Dix can tutor him? DJ is versatile but his true position isn't FS. Nicholson had been doing it w/ no veteran leadership. Could be a good thing. That and it keeps Everette off the field. He can't cover a TE at all. Philly has two solid dudes.

Redskins receiving corp is beginning to shape up

Not interested, DB is an issue w/ what Dunny is dealing with. There only thing that improves our reciever corp is better QB play. Watching the game you can see the WR'S getting separation. Alex hasn't been accurate and gun shy about making the throws.
  22. Looking at the schedule. Honestly there's no reason why we can't win out. However I have two major issues that give me pause. Both demonstrated in the win against dallass. 1. Play calling/Coaching; Last Skinz possession that play calling was atrocious and pathetic. Lining AP deep and running a stretch play to Moses side instead of your horse Trent's? Game on the line and we're trying to eat clock. D knows you're trying to run the ball. Perfect call from that formation would've been a bootleg rollout or play action. Dallass was playing run the whole way. Next play they line up AP in the shotgun and run to the same side again. Did I miss something? Why run to their strongest defender in Lawrence and where Lee is lined up at? Your top two recievers are out. When are you gonna feature Reed and Davis in the passing game? Doctson is Doctson. Gruden needs to adjust his routes and playcalling to his strengths. More slants, outs, and curls. He's never gonna run away from a defender. So the coach needs to adjust to get the most out of him. Maybe that gets him the confidence to get him to elevate his game. If not then let's maximize what he does while he's here. 2. Alex Smith's game play/decision making. Running out of bounds on third down while trying to burn clock. He should've connected on at least one of those throws at the end of the half. Over threw Doctson twice after he beat coverage. Over threw Floyd on the sideline. Some will say the wind. But Dak came right back in the second half and threw perfect balls into that same wind. Smith looks gun shy and hesitant to throw the ball. Looking at the schedule there's no reason why we couldn't run the table. But I think we'll loose at least another 2-4 games because of either Gruden's bad playcalling or Smith's average at best play.
  23. Right now the LB corp and Josh Norman are the weakest link IMHO. I see Moreau taking his place next year. Norman is getting killed in man coverage and missing a lot of tackles. Brown looks slow. But the three down lineman are killing it. Kerrigan is rounding into shape. But I'm very pleased this far. Hood is solid just not at nose. His natural position is 3-4 DT.

Redskins to sign Adrian Peterson per NFL.com

I don't think we need AP to be the league leading rusher. A healthy line like last season prior to the injury bug has a bigger impact. I believe Guice would've been huge. But I don't think even at this stage of his career AP is equivalent or less than Kelley or Perrine. Mixed reviews on Cards OL. Yes Johnson killed it behind that line. But even our mangled D crushed them last year.
  25. Jesus, who needs opponents when you got Redskins fans. No faith in Alex Smith, Gruden's offensive scheme, those young bulls upfront, what about a healthy OL? Remember, this same OL had no issues with Fat Rob carrying the rock before the injury bug hit. Not sure what's left in AP's spare/reserve tanks but I don't think it's a stretch that he could at least do what Rob was doing behind a healthy line,Smith's mobility, and Gruden's scheming. I didn't say SB but playoffs is more than realistic.
