d0ublestr0ker0ll
Oh, lol! Was about to say... Yea, when I'm rusty I go UAV, Hunter, L-strike. Get 8 hunter killers a game and it's like a swarm. Played a lot of Hardcore games last night. Epic games of Dom, surprisingly.
Chew
i love HC Dom as well, but I always end up getting kicked LOL. i hear "losing B," so I'll rush around the corner to the flag, see movement, and unleash the hipfire with my extended mag, laser sight skorpion LOL. end up wrecking a teammate and boom, i'm at the main menu. :-( I feel like a bully using the full auto SWAT. that thing hits HARD, and with the high rate of fire, it levels bad guys pretty quick. being the tryhard that I am, I finally got my SPM over 330. not great, but with a k/d of only 1.23, I go hard on objectives. i'm happy with it lol
d0ublestr0ker0ll
New patch today. The AN94 got a 15% reduction in 3-hit-kill range, and the DSR and Ballista got a 20% reduction in rate of fire. The legions upon legions of quickscopers are pissed beyond belief. The AN94 is one of my go-to weapons, but I never used it with a silencer because its range was awesome. Guess it was too awesome... I hate that they keep nerfing strong guns instead of buffing weak guns, but what about nerfing the Remington? Gun is out of control. At least we'll see less lightweight/dexterity quickscopers running around like headless chickens. Took long enough. The whole quickscoping rusher revolution started when they weakened the MSMC and PDW. They better not touch my Peacekeeper and MK48.
Major Harris
Huh, I did the update and had no clue what was in it. I use the an94 and noticed no difference, 44-23-25-8 on hc kc.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
AN was a 1 shot kill in HC around 31 meters, now it's around 27 meters. I use the Type25 with fast mags, laser, and stock in Hardcore. The buzz-saw rate of fire is perfect.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Vengence map pack comes out for PS3 in one week (Aug 1st). Great map pack, but enjoy Firing Range in the Uprising lobbies while you can. Been playing Hardcore mode 90% of the time lately. It definitely has a more strategic feel to it. My girl is a beast at HC domination.
Chew
stroker man....your girl had me in love at first sight when she went straight for B lol i like her style with the claymore watching her back at B. you've got a good one man. might wanna consider putting a ring on it in the near future a wife that plays video games > any other wife. not to brag...but, i know from experience
d0ublestr0ker0ll
She embarrasses and demoralizes fools all day with her emblem that says "GIRL" in giant, different-colored, capital letters. Almost always ends up with the most captures, while I almost always have the most defends. She merks people with that claymore. It gets her double kills in hardcore like crazy. I know when I'm fighting for B, I never expect a claymore to be there. So Chew, is your wife good at COD?
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Wanted to make a highlight montage of the most competative game I've had in BO2, but Theater screws up the clip every time. It let me record the end without any problems. Using the Peacekeeper, it was Demolition on Summit. This game was 17:45 long, and by the end there were 41 plants and defuses total by both teams. I heard "bomb online, bomb offline" in my sleep that night. The kicker is that I was a millisecond away from planting the bomb at the end, right when a teammate called in an Escort Drone... I ended up 91-38 with an 11555 score, most combined plants and defuses. Second place on my team went 31-41 with a 5330 score. At least they were going for the objectives. drtdrums
Stroker, others: Thoughts on the FAL? Totally in love with it. Only gun I've fallen in love with so far. The insanely fast trigger pull, huge 2-hit kill range, and lack of recoil (you can send 3 rounds downrange as fast as possible and usually hit with all 3) make me feel spoiled when i switch to something else. I did, however, see that it's banned from competition. So maybe I'm a cheesy ****. PS3: ishcairn
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Crazily enough, the FAL has been patched a few times to weaken it. It's still a beast, but at first it was as accurate as the M27 (the most accurate gun in the game). Everyone used the FAL the first couple months after the game released. Personally, I'm not that good with it. The SMR, on the other hand, is my favorite AR for TDM. Dunno why, they're so similar, but the SMR is my highest K/D ratio gun. Fast mags is a must, and I use select fire. Love the iron sights.
drtdrums
Wait, this is the *nerfed* version of the FAL? lol. Wow. Just now getting into it...took me through the first prestige to get my COD legs under me (ie, not completely suck). I'm used to BF, and this is just a completely different animal. That said, I do enjoy it now, as long as I'm not on a team who has no concept of spawn control. Lots to learn though.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Very nerfed version. One of the patches really did the FAL in, pissing off everyone who swore by it. At this point there has to have been an 80% drop off rate of people using it, and it's still banned competitively. It was insane back in the day. Then again, so were a lot of other guns that have been nerfed. Unfortunately the R870 shotgun is still outrageously powerful.

I've gotta give your loadout above a whirl. Looks really solid.
Springfield
I used to love the FAL but it got kinda old to me. I'd always use select fire, scope and silencer. Hate that I can't double up on a perk because I added the third attachment. I'll probably add you if I get on later today. PSN: CChag740
drtdrums
Cool man. I'll be on the lookout Looking at the patch notes for all of BOPS2, it looks like the only non-select fire nerf was to widen the hip spread. Every other nerf was select-fire only. They reduced sf damage and greatly increased recoil, which is just wrong to me based on the fact that select fire already fired slower than trigger-pull (seriously...wth?) My usual FAL loadout is quickdraw, acog, stock, hardline, toughness, eng, nade, emp/hack/concussion
d0ublestr0ker0ll
Because with select fire you can pay attention to aiming and your next maneuver without having to constantly pull the trigger. Semi auto is fun and can definitely be effective, but when the **** hits the fan people don't want to have to be slammin' down the trigger. Controller shakes, finger gets tired, aim starts getting erratic. Make no mistake, the FAL and SMR are awesome with select fire.
Springfield
Yeah, ps3 just took a **** as I got into my first game tonight. Bummer. Looks like I'll be out of commission for a bit.
Chew
select fire nerfs the fal and smr i believe. that sucks springfield. only a few months until the 4 though. we'll catch u on there!
d0ublestr0ker0ll
select fire nerfs the fal and smr i believe.Lowers rate of fire, adds more kick and has a little less 2 shot kill range. It comes down to preference, I've got the timing down on that select fire SMR. I love the MK48 too, for some reason I smash with the slowest firing guns in the game. Chew
yeah i prefer the SMR as well over the FAL i put a silencer and red dot on the LSAT for the first time a few weeks ago. Holy cow, been hurting people's feeling with that sucker.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
The LMGs in this game are the best of any COD. The QBB was some weak sauce at first, but its range finally got buffed and it's pretty bad ass now.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
So this youtube clan called Doom, and its leader "JNasty", are well known in the community for pubstomping. Jnasty gets 100, 150, sometimes 200+ kills, with his minions dishing out support streaks like crazy. He tends to talk a lot of smack in his videos too, rubbing people the wrong way. Well, the Doom clan ran in to an actual professional COD team the other day... This is from one of the pro's perspectives. Every part of the map has a name, which is what you'll hear them communicating about constantly.
Chew
can't watch the video here at work, but from the description, that video sounds like comedy gold. also sounds like the pro clan is extremely organized, which is cool. map pack finally drops for us sony folks tomorrow. i'm gonna be off on friday, and i've already got a pint of cognac and a tombstone pizza in the fridge. just gonna get drunk and cuss out little kids all day. makes me feel like a man
drtdrums
^ Wow. World of difference between pro and pub. Been a long time since I did competitive gaming (Soul Calibur II, CS), but that was just...nasty. And hilarious. Thanks, stroker.
