Here's a live Gary Numan clip from 1981 to make up for it.

He's like Captain Pike in this one!

this is actually from a movie that formed a lot of my late teen musical interest. I was tired of the same ol' AC/DC / Rush / Skynyrd Ho-Hum... every day my friends would listen to 2112.. EVERY FRIGGIN' DAY.. I got tiredf of it, I remember bringing the Ramones "Rocket to Russia" and the Clash's first album over for the daily get-high-and-listen-to-2112 gathering,, and I left realizing i needed new friends.
I saw this movie, and it showed me there was a lot more.. it was called "URGH! A Music War" and it had about 30 new bands performing live. Not all of it was good,, but it was DIFFERENT. (Then the drinking age changed and I got Grandfathered in and none of my friends did... finding a new crowd was easy after that.

Here's some of the movie.

Echo and the Bunnymen is one of the most underrated bands there ever was.

Live Police.. the only band with two tracks in the film

One of the greatest bands that no one ever mentions when talking about all time great bands

This is my favorite song in the movie.. what a great bass line

You know these guys do the music for most of the cartoons your kid watches on Nickelodeon?
check the credits,, Mark Mothersbaugh is in a lot of them

Man I'd forgotten how good that David Bowie track is! At the time I couldn't get any of my buddies to give the Let's Dance album a fair listen to, they all called it comercial pop junk...holds up a hell of a lot better than a lot of the stuff we were listening to at the time!
