renaissance
I'd like to :hump:What's the the use of the 18 foot box, the smalelr box, and the small semicircle? Thanks for your help Key points there: 18 yard box: inside the box the goalie can use their hands, and any foul against the defending team inside the box results in a penalty kick Semicircle: can't be inside the semicircle when someone is taking a penalty kick - ensures that nobody is within 10 yards of a penalty kick-taker 6 yard box: all goal kicks must be taken from within (or on) the 6 yard line

thehogs
US game is getting more long ball giving posession back to France who always look to pass the ball forwards and keep posession

Unforgiven
The French keeper looks smaller than any other outfield player. Pretty much, she's a very small keeper. She also gets out of position waaaay too much. ---------- Post added July-13th-2011 at 12:42 PM ---------- If the teams swapped keepers it would probably be 3-0 France right about now. thehogs
Is it me or are the American's mids turning the ball over way too much. hitting too many long balls at times and their formation means that France tend to have an extra player/tackler in midfield too so have a load of posession. Tactically they are losing the battle but winning the war!

Unforgiven
Leading 1-0 at the half but were outplayed in general. Really curious what changes the US makes at the half, can't keep it the same and expect the 1-0 lead to hold up.
Soup
They're playing flat as hell today. compared to brazil the french are a walk in the park yet they are allowing them clean shots at goal. hopefully they adjust because France is playing a great game
thehogs
I think they need to tuck one of their wide players inside to help out midfield as they are being over run at times. The problem there of course is that it allows the French full backs to move forward down the wings. One thing about France is that they have no real out and out goal scorer and could dominate this game completely and still not score.
