Destino Posted February 24, 2017 Share Posted February 24, 2017 The bad news is the team still lacks ball handling on the bench, the good news is the bench got another scorer which they sorely needed. Perhaps the best news though is that the the Celtics didn't get PG or Butler. They are already a good match for the Wizards, if they had added PG they would have been a problem in the playoffs. Now I still like our chances in the post season against any team in the east other than the Cavs. The Raptors did get better though. We play them a few times soon, that will be interesting. I don't think Burke will ever be that. That coupled with Mahnimi continuing to shake off the rust, Oubre's perimeter defense and occasional scoring, and Bo(that's what I'm calling)'s ability to score, we could actually have a decent bench. I think their improvements stopped the bleeding. The problem for them is that Wall and Beal are better than Lowry and DeRozan. I want them to know that just because they won a lot of regular season games in their garbage division doesn't make them legit. I also think he has to be the first one to touch the rock. I think Adam Silver just got a new bullet-point to bring up with the GMs this offseason. I saw it last night. First thing I thought was they have to change it so you have eight seconds to cross as soon as the ball is in play no matter the touch. Me neither. I thought the game clock wouldn't run either until you touched it. I saw that and wondered if the 8 seconds to get it across was play clock or just 8 seconds in general. Now I know. This team has looked ready to make a ECF run before and Wall injured his hand, then we had a bunch of one year contracts that didn't work out... it would be nice to finally break through the second round. To be honest, there are quiet moments where I secretly wish for all the teams in our way to suffer major injuries to stars and have the wizards win it all. The fact the Denver just let him stand there implies the competitive portion of the game was over and they were fine with him running out the clock and going home.
