MrSilverMaC
NAIROBI, Kenya - U.S. naval forces said Thursday they've captured five pirates after exchanging fire with them, sinking their skiff and confiscating a mother ship. The USS Nicholas was just west of the Seychelles in international waters Thursday when crew began taking fire from a suspected pirate skiff, NBC News reported. The Nicholas returned fire and disabled the pirate boat, then pursued the skiff until it finally broke down. The U.S. sailors were able to board the skiff and arrest three suspected pirates. On board, the sailors found ammunition and several cans of fuel, NBC News reported... click link for more. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36131357/ns/world_news-africa/?gt1=43001
blitzpackage
I guess the pirates crapped themselves when they were boarded and handed over their weapons. I'm glad the Navy has the authority to put these guys out of business.

Larry
The pirates attacked a Navy Frigate? Can you say "target recognition"?
mjah
Good to know the Navy is getting occasional target and pursuit practice out there.

MrSilverMaC
The pirates attacked a Navy Frigate? Can you say "target recognition"? I was a little curious as to what would motivate them to attack a frigate, let alone a U.S frigate. It's not like it looks like a yacht or cruise liner
The 12th Commandment
God I hate this ****ing day... :beatdeadhorse: Yeah, the Navy has no sense of humor do they? Pirate: We're taking ya over (fingers crossed behind his back and wearing a smirk) Navy Captain: Fire at will
Destino
Is this a joke? If not was the Navy ship not painted or something? I can't imagine anyone being crazy enough to fire on the boat shown previously in this thread.

And the pic I posted is of the frigate in the story. haithman
You have to be clinically retarded to attack a U.S. frigate with a ****ing skiff
