NavyDave
Ramsey has to figure out that you dont call audibles with less than 10 secs on the clock
Gamebreaker
Now that was disappointing, a crucial 3rd and 16 and our OL gives up a sack and a penalty. Not good at all.

Art
We do have a couple of starters out. Oddly we're getting good pass rush pressure it seems. I'm not able to see the game so I don't know if the running success is against the line or the backers or a combo. Who's watching that can assess it to this point? bulldog
Pierce showed himself to be a solid player in 2001 and has been overlooked at LB, but he will be first off the bench if Arrington or Armstead goes down during the season
fansince62
art....no penetration by the DTs is the prime cause. they are getting their *sses kicjked all over the field. poor tackling is the next culprit - surprise, surprise.
bulldog
the Redskins backup defenders are playing better than the starters did, explain that one the Skins have neither Bailey nor Smoot in the game. Jimoh and Davis are the starting corners........... Jackson is now at DE and Holsey is at DT.
Ignatius J.
did they take thier starting D off the field yet? -DB edit: panther's D. I heard about the skins

NavyDave
Damn power surge. 3rd and 2 Skins Canidate up the gut for nothing. This is one of the dumbest formations. Why not just spread the defense out? Then run it
NavyDave
I was impressed by the 47 yd pass to Coles on the playaction. If he wasnt stumbling after the catch, it would have been a TD easy
SkinsGuy
Some of you need to relax. A lot of our defensive starters didn't even play tonite. And the one that did were pretty much out of th game with 4 or 5 minutes left in the 1st quarter. And Carolina still is using thier starting offense. Of course its a mis-match. Just chill... geez. Art
The one real weakness you can envision with our line is we aren't a big line. We may have trouble in short yardage. I don't have any problem with packing things tight and going at it. Spurrier might do more spread formations later in the year. This is the preseason. I'm happy with trying traditional short yardage stuff. Hell, I'd run the same play on fourth .
Dirk Diggler
Is it me or does Mark May seem to get some enjoyment out of our running game getting stuffed?
Art
Ramsey had two dropped too from the sound of it.
bulldog
I think if we go back and look at one of Davis' 20 yard runs we can see a play where the OLB overran the play and SD got outside of the tackle and was able to rumble downfield. That was not a factor in the play of the DTs. I agree the DTs have not been strong, but this is the first game Noble and Haley have started together here and we are down 2 players at DE due to injuries. Art
Looks like THREE drops. Two of them for easy first downs. Not good Zeron.
