Rypien1191
I was in a bar and couldn't hear very well. I saw nothing that looked like a fumble at all, let alone anything that would REVERSE a call. Was this another blown call? And what was the flag against us at the beginning of the game where we recovered the fumble but had it called off?

pvkeeper19
No, it was a clear fumble and the reversal was correct. The angles were not great, but if you watched closely (which you probably couldn't do in the bar), there was no question that Moss fumbled. Rypien1191
Fair enough. And the call at the beginning of the game where our penalty took away the fumble we recovered?
NoCalMike
The flag at the beginning of the game was Roughing the QB I believe. The Moss fumble call reversal, well I was at the bar too. From my perspective, the play was SO CLOSE that because the initial call was ruled that Moss was down, it should should have stood as the right call. It was close, but I thought most angles proved to be inconclusive. To me it was stretch to say the replay showed definitive evidence to overrule the original call. 2cents
The first fumble there was a HORRIBLE roughing the passer call. I thought the guys were hitting the QB right after he let the ball go and did let up, but still hit him. I thought it was a very bad call.

Monte51Coleman
It wasn't close, Mike. there was one angle that clearly showed the ball out before any part of Santana's leg touched the ground.
IceDragon38
That roughing the passer looked like BS to me. Jarmon was completing the play it looked like. Oh well, still got the W.

littleskins
No he fumbled. You'll see it in a replay if shown. The Roughing the passer call was bull**** The holding the reciever call in the endzone reversal was Bull****
Muzzah
Never mind the face mask... It was a fumble though. They missed a few face masks on Cooley on the first drive too.

On the original play I didn't see the fumble nor did I see it the first replay. As they showed different angles I found it abundantly clear Moss did not hold onto the ball. It was already out of his grasp long before his knee hit the ground. Good hit by Bartell. The first penalty/fumble I missed.

It was Orakpo, by the way, but the call was legit. He hit Bulger well after the ball was gone.

How I saw it golston hit Bulger into Orakpo who grab him turned and let him go.
SonOfWashington
Wasn't he ruled down by contact though? Is that not unreviewable anymore?
pvkeeper19
How I saw it golston hit Bulger into Orakpo who grab him turned and let him go. It seemed clear to me that Orakpo grabbed Bulger, spun him around, and threw him to the ground, and it occurred well after the ball was out of his hands. I have no complaint about the call. In the end, it didn't matter anyway. They didn't score on the drive.
@DCGoldPants
He was ruled down. But it was reviewed within the final two mins. Moss made two mistakes. 1. Not going out of bounds 2. Not holding onto the ball double no-no
TD_washingtonredskins
They made the right call. They also made the right call on the penalty that negated our fumble recovery. They ALSO made the right call not calling PI in the end zone on the incompletion to Randle-El. In short, the refs contributed in no way to our struggles today. DixieFlatline
Wasn't he ruled down by contact though? Is that not unreviewable anymore? That's what I didn't understand. They blew the play dead. How can you review that? Did they change the rule? It was a fumble, but how do you give the ball to the Rams when the play is blown dead and doesn't come to conclusion? A Rams player did pick it up, but he stopped while standing up because the whistle was being blown. Who's to say he doesn't fumble it while getting tackled? On the incompletion, they made the right call on the pass interference, but they missed the call on holding or illegal contact. Campbell threw it away after Randel El was held. I thought the roughing the passer was cheap, but could see how it was called.
spjunkies
They need to change that rule back. If the whistle is blown that play should be considered over and not reviewable.
