Jason Campbell: ‘There Is Only So Much a Leader Can Say and a Leader Can Do’

LOLOLOLOLOL

For some reason I know exactly which 6 posters will be in this thread posting this garbage....

It's not garbage. The last time we beat the Gmen was in 07 and Collins was the QB. Jason Campbell shouldn't be saying this. He's making excuses for his poor play. Hes had problems fumbling in the past and his fumble that was returned for a TD in the last game was a direct result of us losing. How about his checkdown to a run when we needed 7 points? Making a stupid comment like that should only be made by a guy whos not made mistakes.

And the Redskins players disagree with you.

heres where you killed me.

you have no idea what the redskins players think. and anything they say to the media is scripted. they cant come out and say "the guy isnt a leader, nobody thinks hes good". they have to say the typical "hes good, hes our guy, blah blah".

cmon man, you know better than to say something with nothing to back it up.

Did you survey them?

lol, exactly. completely impossible to know what they think about the situation, and theyd never tell anybody outside that locker room for fear of media explosion.

if our offense plays poorly for the next 6-7 weeks, some "anonymous" player will spill their guts about it to the WaPo and we'll go from there.

The mediocrity debate will go on until he proves something. But with the unrealistic expectations we have in this area, it will never happen.

Its not unrealistic to think that a player can correct mistakes he's made in the past. Fumbling was a problem he was supposed to have fixed, well you can't say he fixed that if he's still doing it can we? How about throwing the ball three yards past the line of scrimmage? Even the rookies know that you can't do that. I don't see any progression out of Jason and maturity and that's the problem with him. We've seen the best out of him and it's not good enough

Look guys.....everyone knows hes not a worldbeater, and NEVER will be. Hes a decent, solid QB whatever you want to call him. He probably wont be hear next near. But most likely this season he is the best prepared to take us the furthest (whereever that may be).

The other players on the team are going to have to play good as well, for us to do anything this year. Hes not someone who is going to carry the team.....everyone knows this.....no real reason to still be debating it.

He did take blame. He mentioned both of the big mistakes he made. I didn't see him blame someone else for throwing the INT, nor did I see him blame anyone else for his fumble.

But he doesn't fall on the sword like a leader should. He simply needed to say that the defense put them in a position to win the game, everyone else was not perfect but this is the NFL and no one ever is. However, the fumble, INT and audible were inexcusable and cost the game.

Then rave about how great the fans are that they lined up to send them off and welcome them home and that he will give them a much better showing next week and that it is a long season etc.

Don't say I made mistakes on these two plays but everyone else did too and if they don't admit it they are lying. Then don't go on to talk about how well you played otherwise. It doesn't matter. You lost. Again, you lost. Don't talk about anything positive. Period. Take blame, apologize and move on.

How much leadership you looking for in those bucks? How much talent?

We get what we pay for. Sub par.

It could be worse though.....we could be paying Delhommey 10 mil + to serve Pickels by the dozen.
