he is an above avg qb...nothing more nothing less, Dan and vinny are looking for an elite qb to lead the team...

ex

Peyton manning and Brady are 10's

Brees 9

Jason is about a 6 and his potential is a 7

Cutler is a 7 and his potential is a 9-10

Sanchez is a 4-5 right now and they see his potential as 9-10

That's how i think Dan and Vinny are looking at the situation....They want a star qb and they don't feel Jason will be anything more than a pretty good game manager...

Well, they sure paid a pretty price to figure that out, huh?

5 years to do what Todd Collins did in 4 games is the measure?

I didn't realize Todd Collins won those 5 games that were already in the can by the time he took over in the Bears game. You learn something new everyday.

Besides, shouldn't you be saying "5 years to do what Todd Collins did in 10 years is the measure?"...Because let's face it, it was NOT Collins' first 4 games in the league.

Nobody knows how Collins would have fared over the length of 16 games, with alternating O-linemen and various receivers being brought in and out of the line up, or without the emotional motivation on defense of Sean Taylor's death...We do, though, know how he did once he reached the playoffs...which was not very good.

Your ability to judge what is good or not is pretty much in doubt given your love of our soon to be former starting loser of a QB and what his career amounted to for the Skins. The guy you blindly defend has ended his seasons with streaks that amount to 5-16 in his career.

Yet somehow reaching the playoffs and leading in the 4th quarter in Seattle is effectively the same as being a career loser for the Redskins despite the 1st rd bust costing us multiple draft picks and a legitimate head coach while Todd entered the Chicago game with fewer NFL starts in his career and had a de minimis cost in his acquisition.

When he let's Colt start.

That makes as much sense as putting wheels on a banana. :chair:

If Colt was that good he would have beaten Jason out or at the least quashed all these trade rumors and draft threads. Not to say Colt does not have potential, but really Jason is a legit NFL starter, and Snyder is able to learn another costly and painful lesson if he pulls the Sanchez trigger.

he is a good QB

just because people refuse to say it doesn't change the fact he is

Good QB's are like gold in this league. They get traded for 2 first round draft picks, another draft pick, and another player. Unless of course they are owed so much money the team that holds the contract can't afford to keep them and has to move them. But a good QB Jason Campbell will never be. Unless you think Trent Dilfer was a good QB, yawn....

When brady, manning, brees, etc are down more than two scores in any game, you know they always have a chance to come back in the game because of their elite throwing abilities. With Campbell behind center the other team would shut down the run and after that the Skins were DONE. No coming back, no heroics from the QB.

THAT's winning the game with your arm.

-----------------------------------

So having a team on D put 8 guys in the box all shutting down the run and forcing the pass gave Campbell with a weak offensive line all the time in the world for heroics? Have you ever played football? Seriously.

In this case with time running down and the need to score quickly teams stacking the line are going to not only stop the run, they are going to rush the passer. It is called pinning your ears back. Our OL is the problem, or hopefully was the problem, thus the 6-2 hot start from Campbell. We only had one good wideout, no wonder when he looked around nobody was open.

Yeah he sucked his way all the way to a SB victory. Run the Ball, stop the Run and don't turn it over. And Great QB's get traded for 2 #1's not good ones.

Colt and Todd both had a better preseason then Jason did last year.

people want JC to throw 25 TD's, to who? Moss gets maybe 10, Cooley another 6, Portis & the backs another 3 and that leaves all other WR's and TE to get 6. Have you seen this roster? do you know who we have at WR? Moss is barley a #1, and then we have a bunch of slot WR's tryingto battle it out for a #2 spot. Dan Marino couldn't throw 25 TD's to these recievers. How many times have you seen an open WR Campbell did not throw to? not very often since hardly anyone can get separation. The only WR who is open on every play is Malcolm Kelly, and that's becasue he is on the sideline by the water cooler.

and maybe JC could get more comfortable in the offense if he had ONE offseason to study it and improve on it. Do people have such burgundy colour glasses that all they think the skins need is a top ranked QB and that would solve all the problems? My arugment is, that without a strong supporting cast around him, no QB, not even the next Montana, Elway and Marino combined would be able to succeed in the offense. CP is a stud, no question, but a QB needs recievers to throw the ball to and right now we just don't have it. And in a few years, we might not have much of a line left to protect him.

Your right everyone wants a Brady/Manning/Brees...does anyone REALLY think our FO will ever get that guy...JC was a safe and emerging solid NFL QB...now lets draft Sanchez and start over.....when Sanchez gets to be a solid QB our Defenese will be 90 years old...good luck.

When the Golden Child is told he is the starter even without a competition and then told he is the starter again after no competition. But yeah Colt should have beaten JC even without a competition just like JC did.

There is a guy sitting on the side line itching to prove you wrong but you are not even giving him a chance. You as a head coach needs to be challenged instead.

But you are right. With JC last year we almost went to the playoffs.

Let's wait another 4 year to see if he can take us to the SB.
