You went over the line with this post. I didn't plan on responding, but you guys are overreacting to this browser. Do you all really believe this screams "We AA's want segregation back"? Do you all understand that AA's were deprived and oppressed and forced into slavery "LEGALLY by it's own government" for close to 350 years and have only been treated and given full citizenship for about 50 years. Slowly but surely, we all can honestly agree race relations have and are improving since that day in the 1600's. Understand that there are millions of AA's who were alive and well when they couldn't attend certain schools, cinemas, restaurants, etc legally.

And for this country to be color blind one day is an awesome goal that I'm sure the majority of American's would love to see, but CURRENTLY, there IS a double standard. Get over it. It will slowly dissipate. Let's just pray it does in less than 350 yrs time.

Diplomat, while I agree that the logos were a bit much, most of the reaction you're seeing is due to the fact that those of us who very much believe in pushing our society past racism see things like this as counter-productive.

This. Well said.

I completely agree Hubbs. They truly are, but everything takes time. That's all I'm trying to put out there. A lot of people don't take into consideration America's deep rooted dark History when they read things like this. Seeing things like blackbird just prove that we are still in the adjustment phase of race relations in America. As I said in another post, my father came to the realization that he couldn't root for his hometown Redskins until we acquired Bobby Mitchell (Glad he didn't become a Cowboys fan) and my grandparents grew up in a small town in North Carolina in the 1930's, enough said. Things are still fresh in a lot of American's minds (black and white) Time solves a hell of a lot of things

Race is a touchy subject. But I personally don't see the purpose of this product from a business point of view. There are many products that are marketed to AA's..... some I support others I don't. This is nothing new. But in a world of the internet how does this make sense? What added value would this product provide to me (as an AA). Perhaps it's good to see a group of African American's create a browser but not really a product I would go after.

This is a major improvement over my regular browser that gives me non racial results.

What a crock of **** this is. Just throw it on the heap of segregation we already have.

It's all okay, as long as those in the benefit approve. Because then it has a positive racial message. Push the blacks ahead and all is good.

Bull****.

So, wait...does this browser work by returning black-oriented sites to my search strings?...If I type in, say, "Lesbians", it will return those porn sites that are geared towards featuring African American lesbians first?

if this is the case I look forward to the latina and asian versions.
