gibbsandflair
Just by looking a the T.V broadcast and also the pics posted on the board, I believe that stadium may be the best Stadium in the league. The sight lines look amazing and the size of the place looks a little south of 70,000 seats. Anyone at the game it seems would have a good seat even in the upper level. I am a season tic holder at Fedex and I always thought the size of the place made it loose it's intimacy.

By the way yes all of the seats are pretty good. Especially when your in the 2nd row behind the Skins bench like today.
CRobi21
It is a very beautiful stadium. I also loved the site of the Colts new digs as well.

Smurf85
It's a panzy indoor stadium. Case closed. It's a nice indoor stadium with TWO GOOD JUMBO TRONS. I mean I hear all the time on how bad the jumbo tron is in D.C. Well I will give the Lions that they have two nice ass HD jumbo trons.
DaleWillet
A really nice stadium for a ****ty ass team, they don't cheer what so ever. But can you blame them? Ford Field is in the projects of Detroit, no lie it's a run down City. I Was @ the game today!!!

Ford Field is in the projects of Detroit, no lie it's a run down City.I Was @ the game today!!! You might have been at the game, but being a run down city has nothing to do with the fans coming or not. Point is I have heard there are a lot of run down spots in D.C. and the fans still show up. Well today was the first game in 51 home games that wasn't sold out.So I will give the fans and that run down city a little credit. They have never won a SB and have not a had a winning season for a long long time now. It's not the fans fault it's the owners fault. Ford is the joke of the city. He has a home down in Florida for the winter. He doesn't go to every game and doesn't care about money. All he cares about is money. We as fans always run our mouth about our owner from time to time. I was there at the game a hour and half early. Guess who was the first person I saw on the Field. Mr. Snyder himself walking around and talking to everyone. RFKFedEx
Back from the game. Ford Field made me appreciate FedEx Field. The overall gameday experience at Ford Field is a solid A while FedEx is a C at best, but I can't stand indoor football. It's like being in a gym. I have to feel the outdoor elements no matter how uncomfortable they may be. Today would have been a perfect day for outdoor football in Detroit. That being said, the average upper deck seat is very close to the field, the jumbotrons are crisp and wide, concession and restrooms were clean and plentiful, lines were reasonable and the concourses were all well lit and wide. Concession prices were higher than FedEx. Beers were $8.50. I feel really fortunate to be part of a passionate fanbase. I feel very sorry for Lions fans and their depressed town. Those poor people have had to put up with so much crap from that horrible ownership of the Fords. We had a great tailgate thanks to Chicago Skins Fans. I was glad to not hear any **** talk from our many fans in attendance during the game. I think we were a classy bunch. I estimate the attendance was only about 2/3s capacity for that place. RFKFedEx
I saw a guy waving tickets up in the air about a half hour b/f kickoff. "$5.00" was all he said. I didn't bother to ask the seat location, but the fact that one can attend an NFL game for the same price as a HS football game is pretty amazing to me. Not sure if this poor dude could find anybody to give the tickets to. He was clearly just a game patron and not a ticket hustler.

CrypticVillain
Fedex Field is in Maryland. And yes their are SOME run down spots in DC. but that is mainly in SE (not for long, they bulild a new office building there every week.) and NE. SW and NW is ok. RFKFedEx
Even the worst parts of DC are hard to compare to Detroit. If anybody knows what the abandoned public housing complex's near East Capitol St. and Benning Rd. SE DC look like today, well imagine that times 100 in Detroit. Much of the city of Detroit is vacant property where housing and factories once stood. In downtown Detroit near the new stadiums you can see hundreds of acres of vacant lots and empty street grids contained w/in a mile of Woodward Ave. Woodward Ave. was their main street in Detroit, much like K or F Streets in NW DC. I heard that Detroit's population has decreased by nearly two million people since 1980 and it shows.
Redskins Anonymous
And yet another FedEx Sucks thread that will cause Danny to build another stdium in DC and we'll be paying six figure PSL's like Dallas and New York. I'll take the extra 30,000 seats and affordable tickets in our current craphole, thank you.

Our house may be big, ugly, outdated and cramped, but at least the gameday exerperience is cheaper than a lot of other venues.
S.T.real,lights,out
I actually seen wrestlemania there a few years ago and the place is great. Guarantee it was much louder for that event than it was on Sunday! lol
BAFGA
The area around Ford Field is actually turning into a destination spot, with Comerica Park next door (home of the Tigers) and the various bars around the area. There are also 3 casinos within a reasonable walk of the stadium. If you venture north on Woodward from Ford Field, THAT is really depressing. There is an oasis in Wayne St. University, but other than that there is nothign but vacant storefronts and deserted buildings. Detroit has very little public housing because there are SO many houses within the city limits. People can rent houses for dirt cheap there, but the houses are in such disrepair that a public housing project would look better. I make many trips up there to visit in-laws, and seeing Detroit is very depressing. The suburbs are nice for the most part, but the inner city is very depressing. A once great city pretty much in ruins.
Redskins Anonymous
Another perk to Detroit is that if you have 3.2 billion sitting around you can buy Ford. 7 billion burning a hole in your pocket? Go buy GM. The local businesses are some of the cheapest on the planet...(toyota is worth 120 billion)
