coolbeans
No link yet, being reported on ESPN. Rumours have it as a 3 year extension which makes it a 4 years deal worth $34 million with $27 million in the first 3 years.

coolbeans
explains TO's comments last week, I said then, something was in the works.....Keep TO happy, save the locker room I don't blame Jerrah It's also a likely cap saving move as well. He had a large cap hit due to how they structured his contract. If they gave him a conventional contract with a signing bonus, his cap hit will probably be reduced by $3 to 4 million. Hamlin and Canty may be soon behind.
Fred Jones
I agree, not a bad move. TO showed nothing last year that he was slowing down. HOF caliber receivers should be kept around.
Chris0894
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3423170 This is definitely not the same T.O. Without the controversy that led to his departure from Philadelphia, Terrell Owens quietly received a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, team sources told ESPN's Michael Smith. Owens The wide receiver was slated to earn $7 million this season in the last year of his contract, but he now receives a four-year, $34 million deal. Owens is slated to earn $27 million over the next three seasons, making him -- along with Randy Moss, Javon Walker and Larry Fitzgerald -- one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league. Owens will receive $12.9 million to sign and $100,000 of his $830,000 2008 base salary guaranteed, for a total of $13 million guaranteed. He is now under contract through 2011. In 2004, Owens was heading into the second year of a seven-year, $48.97 million contract with the Eagles when he began squawking about a new deal. He showed up for training camp wearing camouflage, signifying he was at war with the organization, and wound up getting sent home, leading to the bizarre scene of him giving interviews while doing sit-ups in his driveway. The saga dragged on for months, ending with a suspension, then his release. He signed a three-year, $25 million contract with Dallas in March 2005 and has certainly lived up to it, leading the team in receiving both years while piling up club records. His 28 touchdown catches over the last two seasons are more than any other receiver, and that includes Moss, who set the league record for TDs in a single-season last year. If those #'s are accurate, his cap figure for this year would be around $4.1-4.2 million. That would save nearly $4 million in cap space and give them about $9 million in cap room at present. Hamlin, Canty, and/or a trade is coming soon.
NewCliche21
Eh. I'll hand it to you, guys. Doesn't seem like the same Owens. Seems like he's turned it around as much as he can. I still hope that he fails, but it seems like you guys won with this signing.

But he's realized this for some time now. Most people do grow up at some point in their life.

DWinzit
After failing to bring in another #1 WR and Glenn being done, what else was Jerry to do? That is a good contract for a WR that turns 35 over the season.:2cents:

AI in the NBA and trying to play straight with Denver Moss in NE coming back because he wants to do something Jason Williams in Miami trying to get that ring TO in Dallas doing it as well. All these "rogue" players end up either like Marino and the butt of SB ring jokes or they shut up, fly right and get that ring. :2cents: or at least try, Right Junior Seau!!
