Dan T.
Damn, I choked up a little bit. At the end, very quietly and simply he said ,"I love you guys. Thanks for coming to my special." Then he walked off. Gone too soon. RIP Mitch.

Ford
I was lucky enough to see him over spring break at the University of Maryland about a week before he died. I think it was his second to last show. He's one of the few people who had the ability to make you laugh and feel good regardless of the situation or your mood. Many have mimicked his style and brand of humor in recent years, but no one does Mitch like Mitch did.

Capt. Kaos
I love Mitch.... Afriend of mine turned me on to him a while back. 2 days after getting my 1st CD, tickets went on sale for a show at the DC Improv. Of course we went. Had a freakin' great time. After the show we bought the new CD and waited for him to get done with an interview to get them signed. While we were waiting we started talking with another "fan" outside the room he was doing the interview in. Talked for 15-20 minutes, all of a sudden the "fan" says... Let me go check and see how much longer Mitch is gonna be. Wha!!! Come to find out the "fan" we had been talking with, sharing our favorite mitchisms with, laughing and sharing a fine time with was his wife (who had done the artwork for the CD we were holding). She returned in a few minutes, escorted us back to meet Mitch. We sat in there with Mitch, his wife, and the reporter doing the interview for a solid 1/2 hour. Just talking, laughing and generally just hanging out. As it was time for us to go, Mitch and his wife invited us to his show at UMD. Our instructions, come around to the rear stage entrance and give the security guard our names, come on backstage and have a good time, Mitch would catch up with us after the show. Awesome, absolutely freakin' awesome!!! Not only was he one of, if not the funniest man alive. He was also a great guy to sit and just talk with and he really cared about his fans. I miss Mitch! Sebowski
I too was lucky enough to see him just before he passed. The funniest show I've ever been to. I saw another comedian a year so later (might have been on tv actually) who really only did impressions. He wasn't very funny, but I loved his act because of how he closed it. For his last impression he said he was going to do his old roommate who most people probably wouldn't recognize. He did a great Hedberg and said something cool. Sebowski
damnit..its not on the west coast. he was the freakin MAN!! Whats cool about these kind of threads and being on the west coast is that it gives you three hours to catch the show or set your dvr :2cents:
More Complete
For his last impression he said he was going to do his old roommate who most people probably wouldn't recognize. He did a great Hedberg and said something cool. My roommate said to me, 'I'm gonna go shave and use the shower, does anyone need to use the bathroom?' It's like some weird ass quiz where he reveals the answer first.
ECU-ALUM
I have seen that special at least five times...and I still laugh at all the jokes as though I was hearing them for the first time. "You know what I like? Mashed Potatoes. And I was like 'if you are going to quiz me you must put in a pause and give me the chance to answer you'." Gone far too soon. Mitch wherever you are...you are missed.
