PFT: Bill Belichick to the Redskins? (M.E.T.)

Some are speculating that the Redskins might be considering a run at Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who could be inclined to move on if his team secures its fourth Super Bowl win in seven years via a perfect 19-0 season.

But such speculation overlooks the fact that Belichick would want to run the show anywhere that he goes. In Washington, no coach is going to run the show -- as evidenced by the fact that the Redskins are already hiring the guys who'll be working for the coach who eventually is hired. This approach necessarily runs off any potential head coach who is inclined to call all of the shots.

OMG!!

Bill Belichick!!!

You are dead on when you say he would want total contol, he has earned that right. Total control is not coming here to a ready made coaching staff, he would want his OWN assistants too!

Believe. Think about it. After 19-0 season, there's no where else to go, but down. You can't improve. With a decline, Belichick can't use any excuses for any losses. At least with the Skins, he can blame the QB, RB, WR, OL, DL, DB, LB, 2nd & 3rd stringer, OC, DC, water boy and etc.

That is deeply contra-factual.

You have to realize that so far as I'm concerned NFL History ended in 1994 when the owners signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement that included socialist and nearly communist provisions for a salary cap, revenue sharing, and other contra-moral ideas.

So yes, in my mind Bill Beliscum is still the guy who couldn't get it done in Cleveland and the Patriots are still the God-awful team with the white-on-white uniforms and the "Crapping Colonist" on their helmets. That's all either of them will ever be to me.

You're the Hellen Keller of this board. Blind and deaf to everything.

This isn't as farfetched as it seems. Any coach is in play when it comes to Snyder. Belichick makes what 5 a year? IF he is offerred 20 million a year i think Washington get's full consideration. Why are we waiting till SB is over? Danny is going to pitch Belichick watch.

It isn't that crazy of an idea because we all know Snyder is nuts, another owner probably never an idea. If somebody offereed you 4x your salary no matter how much you might hate the company that offered i guarantee you give it full consideration.. i would. Snyder is crazy enough to spin this with a crazy salary offer. After the SB i believe the real fireworks will begin.
