JoeWolf990
wasnt that shocked by Donaire's performance was more shocked at how HBO tried to prop him up despite Waiters giving him that work early in the fight like we all werent watching. Poor stuff from HBO. Edited October 22, 2014 by JoeWolf990

ksun247
Hopkins against Kovalev tonight. Hoping for a good fight. I've been on the fence for this one thinking that Kovalev will get the decision. I think BHop makes it an ugly fight and wins via split decision. Can't wait. Sacks 'n' Stuff
I'm interloping on this thread as I know very little about boxing but my amateur eyes tell me Kovalev wins by KO. He throws a lot of punches in a very short amount of time and a large percentage of them land on his opponent's head… ****ing HARD!!! Seems to me like that is a good strategy for winning boxing. Kosher Ham
No spoilers thus far. Thanks. I have it recording to give myself a restroom break when needed.
DM72
Kovalev is fighting a superb fight so far. And Roy Jones need to be quiet.
Kosher Ham
Domination. Roy is horrible ringside. I can't stand it.
TradeTheBeal!
Kovalev was very impressive last night. Bhop, I love ya bro, but it's time. Last night looked a lot like Apollo Creed vs Ivan Drago.
Kosher Ham
Hopkins will fight again. Hop used the wrong strategy against him. He needed to get in and out. He skirted the canvas and looked like he was just trying to duck and dodge. He needed to be active, he needed to attack, he needed more than trying to emulate the rope a dope. DM72
Kovalev is A LOT better than I thought. Dude is not just a hard puncher. He can actually box. And B-Hop has one hell of a chin. ANYBODY else, gets KO'd.
NoCalMike
Hopkins has giving the boxing world enough. He needs to retire and concentrate on living out his life healthy.

ksun247
That is a good number for HBO. The networks were all in due to BHop's age and the fact he is still fighting and facing a young strong guy with crazy KO power. Fight got lots of hype leading up to it. Rexx1240
B-hop planning farewell bout, wants GGG http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/boxing/20141111_Not_retiring_yet__Hopkins_plans_farewell_bout.html
ksun247
This is a no win for GGG. If he wins, he's supposed to beat a 50 year old man. If he loses, albeit against a HOF'er, his hype train gets slightly derailed and he loses a potential big payday in the future. If BHop is looking for that last $$$ money fight, this is it. Not sure if I want to pay for it. Will watch it though if it gets made.
DM72
I believe B-Hop would have a good chance against GGG.
Rexx1240
I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a bold statement. Of course I already know the snide remarks and what ever else comes along w/it is bound to be thrown my way and I'm cool w/that but in the end, I'll be able to say I told you so. So here it is: Based on my observations and everything I've been hearing the last couple months, if you didn't already know, I want to be the first to inform you that the Super Fight is definitely going to happen. You're welcome.
TradeTheBeal!
I believe B-Hop would have a good chance against GGG. He would have a better chance to get the worst beating of his career…by far.

Want to see it, but not holding my breath. The best possible fight between them should have happened 5 years ago.

TradeTheBeal!
It would be the first Mayweather PPV for me in about 10 years. So, there's that.
DM72
He would have a better chance to get the worst beating of his career…by far. One thing I've noticed about GGG. He can be hit. I'm not sold on him until he fights better fighters.
DM72
We're within an hour of a Pacquiao fight and this thread is halfway down on the 2nd page? Blasphemous.
