Reaganaut
Lavar has won me back as a fan and I would have to believe he sincerely won back his love on the team. He won't replace anyone on the linebacker squad of the Skins, but how about bringing him back for a million dollar contract one year as a defensive end. He is a mauler who is undiciplined in the Williams scheme, but he can rush the passer and stop the run like a banshee. We need him back on this team to fill the void left by Taylor and give us some closure on his career leaving Washington. We brought back Smooty, let's bring back Lavar and let him play a position where he can make a difference for us.
SkinsOrlando
Umm, I don't think he can physically play anymore let alone all the other issues there'd be.
Chris Worthy
He will need two healthy knees to play again.
Commander Chaaarmnder
yeah health would be an issue. Arrington would probobly be injured half the season at least.
RFKFedEx
LA56 at DE? So he can run even more wildly in overpursuit of QBs than he did at LB?
corrupt3d
LA56 at DE? So he can run even more wildly in overpursuit of QBs than he did at LB? hey, better overpursuit than the underpursuit we have right now
Reaganaut
He won't be playing until next year. I thought he was up in the air as far as playing again.

Reaganaut
We could bring him as a situational player on third downs or something.
Redskins4ever
I do have respect for LaVar. I didn't like he disposition when it came to him wanting to play undisciplined under Gibbs, but I respect.
RFKFedEx
hey, better overpursuit than the underpursuit we have right now I think Rocky Mac pursues the ball rather than the Sportscenter high light sack, which LA56 missed more often than he made. I don't have his career numbers in front of me, but dollar for dollar, RM52 is a way better value than LA56 ever was. We got waaay more out of Monte Coleman than we ever did from Lavar. :2cents: Too bad we blew all of those picks to get Rocky, b/c he would have been a score at market value in the second round. I forgot we're talking DE's here. What did we give to the Niners for Carter?
StillUnknown
i never really had a problem with LaVar, that being said, he is done as a productive player in this league
Brotherz
Lavar will always have a special place in my heart. Im not so sure that equates to me wanting him playign DE for us though. Id certainly let him tryout.
W1N_SKINS
i like the guy but he seemed to have lost a lot of muscle mass he would have to start doing some heavy workouts starting now just to consider coming back to the game

Rocky looks to be a better value for the Skins, no dispute. If health turns out to be a possibility then he is young enough to play a few more years. Look at Bruce Smith for God's sake. Rift
Monte Coleman was the man! I love LA but this isn't even a close comparison.
RDSKNfaithfull
I would love to have him back but I don't think the guy could even ride a bicycle right now. He has pins holding him together and has lost all his muscle. We would be better off bringing back Ken Harvey
Hooper
Um, no. They tried him as a situational d-end before and he was terrible at it. He would try to bull-rush a tackle and get pushed back easily. It was pathetic. And that was when he was healthy.

If he is in fact like Ken Harvey then this is a moot point. Is there some dispute as to the extent of his injuries or is he really done for good? throwback37
He would have to be used as a 3rd down pass rush specialist. But, Much Like Ken Harvey, LaVar was a much better passrusher blitzing from the LB spot as opposed to rushing as a DE. In fact, I remember an interview with LaVar where he said he didn't like "having his hand in the dirt". Maybe a year removed from the game changed his mind though.. #21Taylor4Ever
I dont know why people dont believe in Chris Wilson. The kid has speed and a great ability to get after the QB. Next year Daniels will be gone and it'l be all Carter and Wilson....unless of course we waste our 1st round pick on Howie's kid. If ANYTHING happens with Lavar, I'd put him in at LB and make Washington play DE until Wilson matures.
fwo40
Yeah, because some of us now like Lavar Arrington for his comments at the funeral...means of course we should sign him right back up!! Arrington is done....let's just move on shall we?
Hailskins94
Screw Lavar, I say let's bring back Charles Mann, Dexter Manley, Jumpy Geathers, Fred Stokes, etc if we are playing this game....
